Hi SatsMate Stackers, 

I like to look at the life of a famous blue-collar cartoon as a representation of the normal economy back in day. Homer was a blue-collar worker, and was able to buy a nice home and support a 4 person family on this factory job. Now a days, this would be almost impossible to do in most places around the U.S. 

It just goes to show how far the economy has changed, and in the end people are starting to lean into more gig jobs, and taking several jobs because their main job doesn't pay enough. Specifically in this podcast, I go over the following topics: 

• Discussion of the Simpsons, and Homer’s life Parallel
• Many young people work side hustles as they can make money on the side
• Youth unemployment is soaring to above 15%, Mid twenties is around 8%
• People who have jobs, can’t find increased wages, many take on several jobs
• When not, they aim for several side hustles to keep up
• Hamsters on a wheel, always working - never getting ahead
• Not enough time to parent, and grow our society from ground up
• They need to work several jobs to keep head above water, not because they are getting rich off of it
• This is the new form of slavery, work nonstop, earn small wages
• Look at slavery in the 1800s vs today
• We need to return to the Homer Simpson America, where one blue collar salary can support an entire family
• Homer now a days looks like an upper middle class person, in reality, America has fallen further from grace
• Underemployment, Overemployment, and Gig slavery are not keys to a healthy and successful society
