A new report by the Human Rights Law Centre and the Whitlam Institute reveals that over the past five decades, repeated attempts to introduce a federal Human Rights Act in Australia has failed due to political opposition and misinformation, despite strong public support. We speak with human rights advocate Professor Manjula Dutta O’Connor to understand why Australia remains without a federal Human Rights Act.
