Should Trans Queens Be on Drag Race?
Description
This week Kennidi goes deep into the controversy that has been swirling around for years about trans queens being able to compete on Rupaul's Drag Race. So, many people say it wouldn't be fair for trans queens against cis male drag queens because it won't be fair. Kennidi uses examples like Miss Continental Pageant, which is a trans dominated pageant that has had cis male drag queens compete and win and they never said they can't compete. Drag is about transitioning into something, not about changing gender. This week Kennidi talks about drag and how it has affected her life since she was a kid. She talks about her time in Chicago and how it was hard to get a gig if you were trans, only trans people that got work was Continental Girls. The real question is, should Ru leave Drag Race? Should trans and all forms of drag be allowed on show just like Dragula has done? Kennidi is a fan of drag, and loves all versions of drag and feels things need to change on Drag Race.
Also, we talk about the first episode of Canada's Drag Race, and what Kennidi thought of Brooklyn Hytes as the host. Lastly, Kennidi watches Drag Race for the queens and some of her friends and has made friends with the queens like JuJuBe, and she talks about love for her and Season 5 All Stars! All this, on this weeks TTalk101 with Kennidi Monroe.
