Description

Season Two is here!

This episode, I brought on my friend Elizabeth to discuss John Garvey and Amy Coney Barrett’s 1998 article, “Catholic Judges in Capital Cases” — the article’s garnered much attention from the Senate Judiciary Committee AND the American public.

First, Elizabeth and I “empty out our biases” and show you we bring to the table as we discuss it. Then we analyze the article: walk you through some key terms in the article, try to clarify their positions on the death penalty, and offer critique. Finally, I talk a bit about integrity.

Please note that our objective is not to disparage Judge Barrett, or her faith. Our goal is to discuss this “controversial” article from our points of view in the most respectful way we can.
