Sinead and her sister Gillian Crowe are two leading proponents of intuitive eating.
Sinéad, a mental health nurse and nutritional therapist, and Gillian, a mental health social worker and yoga teacher, have created an online community aimed at deconstructing diet culture and harmful attitudes towards weight loss and nutrition.
Sinéad stated that both women experimented with many diets over the years and ultimately developed disordered eating habits (constantly thinking about food; feeling stressed, guilty, and ashamed about food choices and eating behaviours; engaging in cycles of binging and restriction).
Intuitive Eating Ireland has a petition running in the hope of getting the TV show Operation Transformation decommissioned. You can sign the petition here: https://my.uplift.ie/petitions/decommission-operation-transformation
