"Can't Pray to Me," affectionately alternatively titled, "The Mary Song," presents listeners with Mary the Mother of Jesus' take on guns in America–that is, according to Catholic songwriter and troublemaker Grace Leckey. A multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and audio engineer, Grace grew up singing hymns and Americana in a Catholic folk choir. Listen in as Anne and Grace talk growing up in an “involved” Catholic family, rethinking depictions of Mary, and what happens when a queer questioning Catholic roles up to the Evangelical college Christian club.
