The Sixers draft VJ Edgecombe out of Baylor University with the 3rd overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. He has some great tools and a very athletic style of play and will likely slide right into the Guard rotation. The question remains however, if the Sixers can make it out of the 2nd Round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs. Joel Embiid and Paul George will be one year older, and the skepticism over their ability to stay healthy enough to play even 50 games total together remains. The Phillies were swept in Houston while the pitching staff allowed just 5 runs combined. Suarez, Wheeler, and Sanchez were masterful, but the offense was in hibernation.
