Skiing, Fear and Collecting Pins with Alpine Skier Millie Knight
Description
What is it like to travel down a frozen hillside at 100mph without being able to see where you are going? That was one of the questions on wheelchair racing gold medalist Hannah Cockroft’s lips when she spoke to ParalympicGB alpine skier Millie Knight, who is heading to Bejing 2022 with dreams of Gold.
In 2014 Millie became the youngest British athlete to compete at a Winter Paralympics when she took to the slopes at Sochi at just 15 years old. Since then she has gone on to win a host of medals including a gold at Tarvisio 2017 in the downhill.
Hannah spoke to Millie from the Paralympic village where she talked about what it's really like living in the village. She also spoke candidly of her fear of getting back on the slopes after her 4th concussion injury and of her close relationship with guide Brett Wild.
