Prescribed burning can reduce the risk of high-intensity wildfires that can destroy communities and wildlife habitat. It’s not a question of whether we’ll have wildfires, but when.





So state and federal agencies are planning prescribed burns this fall, but one state department says some Chelan County burns will have to wait until next year, as Marcus Bellissimo reports.
