Description

In the second episode of Clandestino Season II,  your author speak to Erin B. on the intersection between geopolitics and sports. In this wide ranging, and hour-long conversation, we speak about how sports have revealed themselves to be creators and propagators of social movements all the way to how American and Western leagues pick and choose when to inflict themselves into political battles.

Erin B. has been in the world of sports and foreign affairs her entire professional career. She is a graduate of University of Southern California (USC) where she worked in the Athletic Director’s Office, an NCAA Division 1 athletics program partnering extensively with NFL, NBA, MLS, and MLB teams.  After graduating from USC with a BS in Law and an MS in Geographic Information, Science, and Technology,  and being a fellow in the Leonard D. Schaeffer service in government fellowship program, she joined the Intelligence Community. During her tenure in government she worked on a wide range of national security topics. Erin left government service and is now a technical manager at a Washington DC-based tech startup while working part time for DC United, an MLS team.
