Johnson shocked the NBA world earlier this month when he abruptly resigned from his position with the franchise he starred for as a player.
“Thank you to Lakers owner Jeanie Buss, General Manager Rob Pelinka, Coach Luke Walton, the Lakers players & the entire basketball operations staff for the tremendous opportunity to serve as the President of Basketball Operations for the Lakers. I will always be a Laker for life,” he tweeted following his decision.
Johnson cited several reasons for his decision, but it mostly seemed like he had simply grown tired of the job.
