Non-small cell lung carcinomas (NSCLCs) commonly present as 2 or more separate tumors. They encompass separate primary lung carcinomas (SPLCs), representing independently arising tumors, or intrapulmonary metastases (IPMs), representing intrapulmonary spread of a single tumor.
