He looks at that contract and compares it to what Jim Nill is paying Mikko Rantanen, 5 million dollars less per year and he got signed to an 8-year contract. Then he talks about the game and how the Stars did a good job getting the puck out of the zone and players carrying the puck more which opens up the ice and limits turnovers in the neutral zone. Most of the regulars played in this game and Gavin says he is already seeing a difference in the Stars power play this preseason, with them having more movement. He thinks Justin Hryckowian has done enough in the preseason to make this team.
