This advice is pretty badly articulated. "Spend more than you can afford as a motivator! " , but conclude the advice with "never live off 100% of your income." ? The second peice of advice contradicts the first. The only value to come out the first suggestion is self accountability, but if you're the type of person who needs to be forced into doing something with that type of motivation the last thing you should be doing is putting yourself on the brink of financial ruin. There are better ways to self motivate than robbing wealth from your future self.
