Steelers Nick Herbig Ruled Out, Rookies Shine in DetroitThe Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker, Nick Herbig, was initially expected to return after a full practice on Friday, but hes now ruled out for Sundays game against the Lions due to a hamstring injury. Herbig got hurt during the Monday night game against the Dolphins, leaving the Steelers without two of their top three outside linebackers. All-Pro T.J. Watt also sat out with a lung issue and wont play.Despite the absences, rookies and depth players stepped up, holding the Lions to just fifteen rushing yards. Alex Highsmith led with six tackles, while rookie Jack Sawyer had five tackles in his first career start. The latest injury report shows Herbig still sidelined, with Watt confirmed out. Running back Jaylen Warren is good to go after a hip tweak, but a few defensive backs like James Pierre are out with calf problems. As the Steelers face these key matchups, their pass rush depth will be tested, but early signs show they can handle it without their stars.
