This week we’re joined by javelin legend and Paula’s BBC TV Co-commentator Steve Backley. A medalist at World, Olympics, Commonwealth and European Championships, Steve comes from a family of runners and despite describing himself as a ‘failed runner’ he loves running and is a Park Run regular. 

He’s got loads of amazing stories from meeting Steve Ovett as a kid, taking on Matt Pinsent and Steve Redgrave at Golf, getting stung by a jellyfish while out running and how a run on a deserted beach led to an amazing - but very random -  family reunion.
