On November 19, 2024, Stikeman Elliott hosted a seminar in Toronto titled “The Growth of Search Funds in Canada.” This event brought together industry leaders, investors, and searchers to discuss the growing role of search funds in the Canadian market. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with experts, ask questions in real-time, and network with peers. This podcast includes Part I of the seminar, in which experienced guest speakers focused on traditional search funds, including the key role that advisors play in a traditional search, the closing of a transaction and how to approach the first-year post-acquisition. Part II of the seminar, on self-funded search funds, will be posted on January 27th, 2025.
