Stop Suffering: Uncover the Harsh Truth from Our Ancestors About Why We Struggle and How to Stop!
Description
In the time when ancient warriors roamed the earth. They sought new lands. Fertile for farming and rich in wild animals that they would be able to hunt and feed their families.
Their own villages and towns had used up all their resources. They had cut down all the trees and hunted most of the animals. Food and wood were becoming more and more rare.
Infighting had begun as the people fought for food and warmth on the cold nights. And so, the warriors were sent out far and wild into the wilderness to find new lands.
A new place they could move to and settle in. The question was, what would they do differently this time. They had used up all their resources and begun to starve and struggle.
If they moved to a new land and kept their same ways, they would end up in the same predicament. And so a new plan had to be devised. One where effort was involved.
The people were not allowed to cut the trees down close to their village. They were not allowed to hunt the animals that were close by. They would have to go further afield to get what they needed.
And this would require effort. But who was willing to do this when it was just so easy to cut down a tree right outside your house so that you could be warm for the night or cook their food.
The chief was adamant that his people needed to learn the lesson. And so, if they were caught doing any of these things then they would be outcast.
They would have plenty of wood when they cleared some land to plant their crops. But this would be controlled. They had to keep their land and village livable for future generations.
However, the son’s chief had other ideas. He thought that because he was the son’s chief, he had special status. And so he would cut down trees close to the village and hunt animals that where nearby.
He would boast to his friends that only he was allowed to do this because of who he was. When his father found out, he called his son to him.
The chief was very disappointed and sad. He knew he would have to send his son away to fend for himself. He knew that this may mean death for his son. But he also knew that he had to set the standard for everyone. He had to set an example.
And he had to show that they were all the same and they were all connected. What one person did, effected everyone one in the village. Everything had consequences.
The biggest part was that his son lacked the awareness to see how his actions affected others. He didn’t have the awareness to see how he was acting. How his actions would create a rift between the leadership and the people.
It was important to the chief to set an example of how people should be and act. His son was not a bad person. He was not evil. He was just unaware that actions had consequences.
He was unaware of the impact of his laziness and his decisions would affect the moral of the whole village. And so the lesson had to be taught by his own father and he was banished for a year.
He would have to fend for himself out in the wilderness. He would have to gain the awareness of living with others in harmony, rather than thinking he deserved special treatment.
Everyone has a story and many people with a hard story believe they deserve special treatment. The reality is that we are all the same. Our actions effect the people closest to us.
We have all had hardship and struggle at some point in our life. It doesn’t make us better than another. For most of the time, we don’t know someone else’s story.
And so, for some of us, we just assume our story is harder than theirs. But most of the time, this is not the case. There is always someone worse off than you in the world.
Right now, in this moment, someone is struggling more than you. Whatever you are going through. Awareness is understanding that if you happen to be suffering, then taking out your anger and frustration on others is not ok.
Because the people you take out your anger and frustration on, are probably worse off than you. But they don’t show it. They are not complaining about it. They are focused on getting through each moment as best they can.
Having the awareness to understand this can be very helpful if you are struggling in your life. That there are people in this world, significantly worse off than you but they are not complaining and they are getting on with their life.
They are not having a tantrum or being a victim. They are not blaming everyone else around them. No, they are grateful for life itself. For if they are struggling in this moment, right now. It means they are alive.
And if you are alive, then there is always hope.
There is always hope of better things to come. A more joyful, happier and more fulfilling life is available to all of us. Take responsibility for the life you have created for yourself and set the intention for the kind of life you would love to have.
Awareness and responsibility. Two crucial keys to creating a life you love. It starts with taking the time to stop and dream about what a life you would love looks like.
What would a day in the life of you look like if you loved your life. What would you be doing. What kind of work would you be doing. Would you help other people.
Only you can answer this question for yourself. I would love to hear some of your examples. It all starts with a thought, a dream, a feeling. And then it takes action and effort and will.
And one day you will look back and you will be amazed at the life you created for yourself.
I’d love a quick like and share to help spread my stories to others.
