In this episode, I conclude the Gloria and Archie saga by not only answering the four specific questions posed (the four separate concerns Gloria identified), but I also focus on how to eliminate bias from next steps, and guide listeners through a framework on how to get things back on track after an investigation.
Specifically, Patti takes us through:
What other work was accomplished to reach a conclusion
- Who else to interview?
- Review documents and documentation.
- And, in some cases (not with this investigation), site visits and gather outside information.
From here, we can start answering the critical questions:
- How do I analyze and dissect that information?
- How do I determine credibility?
- How do I reach a reasonable conclusion?
Remember, the investigator won't reach a conclusion about whether Archie is racist. An investigator's job is to discover the truth as it relates to the factual allegations.
