Lauren Burns was kidnapped at the age of seven by her Jordanian father and taken to Jordan. Her mother, Cathy, hired ex-military experts who traveled to Jordan with her mother to bring Lauren safely home. Through a daring rescue mission, they escaped across a secured military border into Israel. Lauren tells us of her healing journey once she was brought back to the US. Through forgiveness and healing, Lauren's story equips the listeners to know Jesus can heal anyone of father wounds.
In addition to her amazing story, Lauren had a movie made about her life and is the host of the Redeemed Podcast. Desperate Rescue was released in 1993 starring Mariel Hemingway about the Cathy Mahone story and her successful rescue mission of her daughter in a made-for-television movie.
