Now, our understanding of COVID-19 is evolving daily. What we know today is that the virus is a multi-organ disease, affecting more than just the lungs. It also affects the heart, kidneys, and pancreas. More recently, doctors are seeing neurological symptoms in COVID-19 patients, including stroke, indicating disruptions to the central nervous system as well.
