1 Peter 3:8-4:19

Christ suffered on our behalf. As we live as followers of Him in this world, we too will experience suffering. Peter helps us see that we should not be surprised when we do suffer, but we can actually rejoice in that His glory is being revealed through what we are experiencing. Our suffering should not happen because of living in a foolish or sinful way. Rather, Peter is preparing us to be ready to suffer even when we are doing good for others.
