From the end of July through August 11th, the world has been and will be focused on the city of light, Paris, as that beautiful historic city hosts the 33rd Olympiad. Do you know why Paris was called the City of Light? Because at the beginning of the 19th century, it became the first city in Europe to use gas lighting to illuminate its streets.
