Welcome to the inappropriate quilters podcast where we talk about life, quilting, and something that's really important to us and we throw in a few inappropriate things.
00:02:00
I'm your host, Leslie Bercher, along with my inappropriate friend and co-host, Rochelle Rice.
00:02:06
So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.
00:02:14
See, you get distracted with the music as soon as it starts and you're like, "Oh, there's the music."
00:02:22
So before we really start, I had to tell you something that I didn't tell you about.
00:02:27
We are started.
00:02:28
I know.
00:02:29
Okay.
00:02:30
But I need to tell you this before we start our super live today.
00:02:33
So, you know, my bird dog, my birdie, is having all of these skin issues.
00:02:38
Yes.
00:02:39
So I have had to change detergent to a dog-friendly anti-argeant.
00:02:42
Which you miss your good detergent, yeah.
00:02:44
So I miss that.
00:02:45
Yeah.
00:02:46
So anyway, on Monday evening, no, it was Tuesday morning, no, no, not with Monday evening, Monday morning.
00:02:55
I don't know.
00:02:56
So I go down to my laundry room because Lance had washed dog beds and things like this the night on Sunday night, and I went down to my laundry room and I walk in and I open the door and I'm like, "Oh my gosh,
00:03:06
there's water all over the floor."
00:03:08
And I have a brand new washing machine and I was like, "Did the hose come out or did something happen to it?"
00:03:12
And then, upon further inspection, I realized it was laundry detergent, 250 ounces of your diva?
00:03:23
No.
00:03:24
Yes.
00:03:25
And this other detergent that we're doing is kind of spicing.
00:03:26
Yes.
00:03:27
If it was that.
00:03:28
Oh, well, no.
00:03:29
This other stuff is more expensive than you.
00:03:30
What?
00:03:31
Yeah.
00:03:32
Yeah.
00:03:33
Yes.
00:03:34
Dog stuff.
00:03:35
So anyway, it's all over the floor.
00:03:36
That's expensive.
00:03:37
How do you clean this stuff up?
00:03:37
So, you know, I'm like, well, you don't put salt on it because I don't think salt would absorb.
00:03:41
That would have been my main thing.
00:03:42
Like with oil, I would have thrown salt on it.
00:03:44
So what I did is I got some towels, and I put towels down and I let it absorb the towel, and then I put it into laundry baskets, and then I did hand towels.
00:03:53
And then I finally just did this great big sheet and things.
00:03:57
But I have 250 ounces of detergent.
00:04:02
Okay.
00:04:03
When I put 250 ounces of detergent in my washing machine, you know what's going to happen?
00:04:07
Oh, yeah.
00:04:08
So I decide, well, I should put it into the kitchen sink and wash it out in the kitchen sink as much.
00:04:12
But there's still tons in there.
00:04:13
I can't get it out.
00:04:14
So I went to the laundry mat, and they have a machine that will hold six loads.
00:04:19
So I explained to the woman, there's 250 ounces of laundry detergent.
00:04:23
And these towels.
00:04:25
And I said, but I tried washing some out in the sink.
00:04:26
She goes, I'll put it in the six one.
00:04:28
You'll be fine.
00:04:29
So I put it in the six one.
00:04:30
And I said, you know, it's going to be 41 minutes.
00:04:32
Do I have to stay here?
00:04:33
Because I'm thinking if it's oozing out of the machine, I don't want to be the person that is doing this.
00:04:37
She goes, no, you can go do whatever you want to go do.
00:04:40
So I left and I came back and I said, did it make a mess?
00:04:43
And she goes, no, you had enough stuff for one load and you put it in with six loads.
00:04:49
Uh-huh.
00:04:50
But you know what I should have done?
00:04:51
What?
00:04:52
I finished our quilts for my quilts.
00:04:53
You should have put your other stuff in there.
00:04:54
I should have put my quilts in.
00:04:56
Yeah.
00:04:57
And had them washed.
00:04:58
Yeah.
00:04:59
And I didn't.
00:05:00
Yeah.
00:05:01
So that was my big, big thing there with my quilts.
00:05:02
I'm glad you told me all of that.
00:05:03
Well, yeah.
00:05:04
It was good.
00:05:05
And I think that was kind of, I think that was kind of interesting.
00:05:09
Well, everyone now knows what to do with 250 ounces of detergent that have fallen in their laundry room.
00:05:15
Because I kept thinking, do you siphon it off and try to put it back?
00:05:17
What do you do?
00:05:18
So no, that's what I did with it.
00:05:19
I would not try to do that.
00:05:20
I would not.
00:05:21
That's not it.
00:05:22
Kara, do we have any questions?
00:05:25
Anybody have any questions?
00:05:26
Nope.
00:05:27
Oh, nobody has any questions.
00:05:28
So we're here at in Hamilton, Missouri, at the birthday bash for Missouri star.
00:05:34
We are bashing.
00:05:35
We are bashing and it's so much fun.
00:05:37
It's so much fun.
00:05:38
It is so much fun.
00:05:39
The parade we were in the parade yesterday.
00:05:41
That was delightful.
00:05:42
All the people.
00:05:43
And now you're telling me this morning, you went to grab a drink and a beverage, a nice beverage.
00:05:50
And my power.
00:05:51
Powerade.
00:05:52
And there's buses.
00:05:54
There's four buses pulled in.
00:05:55
So if you're in the Hamilton, and you're on a bus or you're not on a bus, come and say hello to us.
00:06:02
You need to come to birthday bash if you're within a five hour drive, a missy drove 12 hours or nine hours or whatever it is.
00:06:09
And then the people that had somebody from Pennsylvania, Kayla, she stopped us and she's in her last drove.
00:06:16
I mean, how many hours did she say?
00:06:18
Did she tell us?
00:06:19
Maybe she was 12.
00:06:20
So they stopped and say, yeah, someone else with a 19 hour driver, it's crazy.
00:06:25
So it's so good.
00:06:27
I mean, if you are at least really within a five or six hour drive, you should come because it's super fun.
00:06:32
Lots of vendors, lots of, and let me tell you, they treat you here.
00:06:37
Oh, boy, do they ever.
00:06:38
I, and Kara, you can, you can say, you agree.
00:06:42
We all are just always blown away.
00:06:44
We can say, you can agree, we need to hear it.
00:06:46
We can hear you.
00:06:47
Yeah, freebies are out of control.
00:06:55
Like you literally, I can't, I sit and go every, even don't girls retreat.
00:06:59
We were like, Jenny, how do you make money?
00:07:02
Right.
00:07:03
Like because what we paid for this, like the value we get back is like exponential.
00:07:07
It's the same here.
00:07:08
So anytime you come to a retreat or any kind of event here, you will be treated like royalty.
00:07:15
And it's crazy.
00:07:16
We registered ahead of time to get to our different events.
00:07:18
And some events are free.
00:07:19
Yeah.
00:07:20
You have to register for them.
00:07:21
Right.
00:07:22
And some of them you pay a very minimal fee.
00:07:23
Yeah.
00:07:24
So we bought the swag bags.
00:07:25
We bought swag bags.
00:07:26
So in our swag bags, we were so blown away with the stuff in my cash.
00:07:30
Oh my gosh.
00:07:31
So we get home and we get them and then they have your name tag and it has your email address and every time you buy something.
00:07:37
And of course, I'm in no spend September.
00:07:39
So I've only spent $2 and like under $3.
00:07:42
But you spend money and they keep track of this and then you get these prizes.
00:07:48
And as the more you spend, you get all the, it's not, you get if you're enough for prize one.
00:07:53
And then but if you're enough for prize eight, you get one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
00:07:57
I mean, we came out with bags of freebies.
00:08:00
Right.
00:08:01
It's so great.
00:08:02
Yeah, we got here Tuesday night.
00:08:20
On the east coast, I would love to tell me the tail of the town.
00:08:29
I might know that like like east coast would be like South Carolina.
00:08:32
Or yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you know, we would love to come to New York.
00:08:36
Oh, yeah.
00:08:37
I love that.
00:08:38
All those places.
00:08:39
Yeah, we should.
00:08:40
Yeah, you know, we are inviting us to get, get a guild together that wants to bring us in and do a program for you and we, we, we are a road, we are a road, we are traveling roadshow.
00:08:52
That's right.
00:08:53
Look at our nails kind of match.
00:08:54
It'll come back.
00:09:05
So some of our things are booked.
00:09:06
I have some things booked for 2025 that, you know, I'm going with Rona the Riveter.
00:09:13
We're going to be doing the, the Scotland and Iceland and that's in set, yeah, Scotland and Iceland.
00:09:21
I'm not going to remember.
00:09:24
There are some other things that I'm, I'm booked for, but not fully booked where it's, you know, you just have to reach out to us to see what, what we have available because, um, Leslie has a full-time job,
00:09:35
so we have to look at her things and then I do all sorts of other gigs.
00:09:38
So we kind of coordinate these together.
00:09:39
But yeah, I mean, all you have to do is reach out, ask us, invite us and we'll check our calendars and get back with you.
00:09:52
We are going to be a Honka City next May.
00:09:54
That's right.
00:09:55
Right.
00:09:56
Joplin, we could do Joplin.
00:09:57
We could.
00:09:58
Yeah.
00:09:59
We just need to see the invite.
00:10:00
We just need to see the stuff and we're happy to show up for a party.
00:10:03
Yeah.
00:10:04
Yeah.
00:10:05
Yeah.
00:10:06
Because we showed up for a parade.
00:10:07
We did.
00:10:08
So, yeah, you want to dress it, or, okay, well, so we were going to host a retreat and we're kind of waiting to figure out how that's going to work because there hasn't been,
00:10:22
um, well, we just haven't had a lot of communication back to being honest.
00:10:27
There's no contract signed and so we haven't negotiated that out yet.
00:10:31
And so more to come, we hope we can, but if it doesn't work out for when we were planning to do it.
00:10:38
We will not be doing it in January of 2024.
00:10:40
No.
00:10:41
That's not 2025.
00:10:42
Or 2025.
00:10:43
Yeah.
00:10:44
That's not.
00:10:45
We thought it would be January 2025.
00:10:46
Right.
00:10:47
It's not going to happen because we're too tight on time at this point, but it doesn't mean we're not going to.
00:10:50
So we're still working on that.
00:10:52
So just stay tuned.
00:10:53
We will.
00:10:54
We will do a retreat because everyone wants to do one.
00:10:57
Right.
00:10:58
And, you know, we do retreats.
00:10:59
They're just smaller ones.
00:11:00
But we know that people want something that we would like to do something like around 35.
00:11:04
Well, yeah, 35 that we could comfortably do it.
00:11:06
45 of our closest Jenny has already told us that we could house a hundred.
00:11:10
She said, you guys will fill 100 and we're just a little nervous with that.
00:11:14
We want to start baby 35 and then see how it goes from there because because it would be us putting it on with some support, but not the full support that they we want their full staff.
00:11:24
So we, that is kind of on the whole, we just we made the decision actually yesterday that we were like, we might be able to pull it together.
00:11:33
But would we really is it, is it just too quick to do it?
00:11:36
So we're like, no, we're not going to, we're not going to get that.
00:11:38
But, but it doesn't mean we're not going to do one at some point.
00:11:42
We're just not going to do it in January.
00:11:43
Right.
00:11:44
Yep.
00:11:45
Hope that answers the question.
00:11:46
And we'll, and we'll look at the other dates that they have because it may be something that comes on maybe later in the year.
00:11:49
Yeah, we'll see.
00:11:50
We like to do things in when it's cold and when it's really hot.
00:11:53
And we have, then we have nice weather and so when it's hot, we want to be near a pool.
00:11:58
Yeah.
00:11:59
If it's cold, we want to snuggle up beer fire.
00:12:01
Yeah.
00:12:02
So that's kind of where we're at.
00:12:03
Because we, we are weather travelers.
00:12:06
We are.
00:12:07
We're snowbirds.
00:12:08
We are, we are.
00:12:09
So when we got here yesterday, this is kind of, you know, recap kind of some of the stuff that goes on here with being at the birthday bash.
00:12:16
So we were going to be in the parade and we didn't know if we were going to be, we knew we weren't going to walk.
00:12:22
We didn't know if we were going to have a car.
00:12:23
We were going to have a golf car or what we're going to have.
00:12:25
We're going to have something.
00:12:26
Or if we're going to be on the back of a tractor, that would have been cool too.
00:12:28
Or the fire truck.
00:12:29
Yeah.
00:12:30
That would have been cool too.
00:12:31
That's Josh, Mr.
00:12:33
Epstein, Jenny's youngest son, yeah, was our handler and he was delightful.
00:12:39
He was.
00:12:40
Darling and his wife Sam and their little boy, Henry, they were, they were escorting us to the parade and just darling, they were good, great people and we laughed about, pull these over here so these guys can see what you ended up with.
00:12:52
Oh.
00:12:53
Okay.
00:12:54
I have all these beans left.
00:12:55
I had two.
00:12:56
Oh.
00:12:57
And that was it.
00:12:58
So.
00:12:59
So how did you only, you know, you know, why?
00:13:00
Because I was throwing a ball of throwing beads and I was trying to do a live so that everybody could be a part of the parade.
00:13:06
But that's hard to do.
00:13:07
It was an add.
00:13:08
Do you have any more questions?
00:13:09
Okay.
00:13:10
Okay.
00:13:11
So anyway, raise your hand if you get one so that we can stop talking.
00:13:14
So, so we're throwing the beads and what's hilarious with this, any place else I've went to a parade, you know, people dive on this stuff and we got like, give me beads.
00:13:23
We had the Missouri star employees in front of us and there were like 50 people in front of us.
00:13:27
And so they're throwing beads.
00:13:28
So when we get there, there's all these beads lying in the street, nobody's picking them up.
00:13:33
So I decided that I was going to try to see if I could make the bead like land on your walker and in your, in your stroller and overround your dog's neck, and then I, and then you walk Tilly when there was a poodle and a darling poodle and,
00:13:48
and her owner, Tilly's mama, Tilly's mama.
00:13:51
She came up and she's like, do you want to walk her in the parade and we're like, yeah.
00:13:55
But I'm like watching how this is, I like how is this going to work?
00:13:58
Rochelle, Rochelle grabs the, grabs the leash and she's walking, Josh is driving the golf car.
00:14:06
We're in and she's walking the dog.
00:14:07
It's just insane.
00:14:08
And, and people, I was very careful that the dog, I, I wasn't going to let a roll underneath the wheels of the car.
00:14:12
I know that's, but it didn't make me nervous, but I had her, I know, but it didn't make me nervous.
00:14:17
Yeah.
00:14:18
And he was driving slow.
00:14:19
So.
00:14:20
Okay.
00:14:21
No, Missouri star, Missouri star did not have them, you know who might have it,
00:14:31
primitive gathering may have them.
00:14:33
Check primitive gatherings, this Lisa von Jean, the winter magic one.
00:14:39
We have a couple that have not been paid for, they get till Friday to pay for them.
00:14:43
If they're not paid for by Friday, we'll release those two.
00:14:46
So I will, we'll make an announcement and you'll want to jump on it because I'll open up the website and you can grab it.
00:14:53
But they do have that kit, but they have that kit here at Missouri star.
00:14:58
So you can get it at Missouri star.
00:14:59
If you're in Hamilton, you should go get it.
00:15:01
They also have, if you're interested, they have, you can buy extra yardage for it.
00:15:05
So if you don't want to get the whole kit, they do sell the patterns.
00:15:08
That's the other thing.
00:15:09
No kits are available, but you can get the pattern.
00:15:12
And they have all the yardage if you wanted to choose your background fabric.
00:15:15
Yeah.
00:15:16
You can get your fabric if you come here or if you order online, you can get backing and all that stuff for it.
00:15:21
So definitely recommend doing that.
00:15:24
And they had at least 20 kits yesterday.
00:15:26
And they're charging the about the same price we were.
00:15:28
So not much difference.
00:15:30
I think they have dollar difference on this.
00:15:31
Yeah.
00:15:32
Oh, good.
00:15:33
Oh, there we go.
00:15:41
Just like we are on the video and on the podcast.
00:15:43
Where as real as can be.
00:15:44
We are.
00:15:45
We're real, real.
00:15:46
The real real.
00:15:47
So that we have to tell you a really funny story that happened yesterday with what was it with the walk out with our staged walk out on our friend,
00:15:57
Missy.
00:15:58
What?
00:15:59
Missy.
00:16:00
Little green bean.
00:16:01
Our staged walk.
00:16:02
Oh, I was going to say what are you to our staged walk out?
00:16:06
I was like, our walk out.
00:16:07
What are we talking about?
00:16:09
We were at miss.
00:16:10
So Missy had a little green bean.
00:16:13
She had a demo she was doing.
00:16:15
And I really wanted to go see it.
00:16:16
We did too.
00:16:17
We were both like, let's go.
00:16:18
Let's go.
00:16:19
We love her.
00:16:20
And so we went and watched she was doing such a great demo.
00:16:25
She did it on embroidery and she was showing the Christmas embroidery kids that are available for them.
00:16:30
And even my 50 women.
00:16:31
Yes.
00:16:32
50 women with credit cards.
00:16:33
Right.
00:16:34
Listening to this.
00:16:35
And I look at Rochelle and I want this really bad.
00:16:37
And I look at her and I said, if we stay this whole time, they're going to all these women are going to go rush to the Christmas shop and they're going to go get those kids.
00:16:46
And I'm not going to have one.
00:16:47
And I'm going to be really upset.
00:16:49
Rochelle says, start coughing.
00:16:53
Like really bad and then dismiss you or something.
00:16:56
Get up and walk out.
00:16:57
And they all come to try on you.
00:16:59
Yes.
00:17:00
And then you come check on me and make sure I'm going to go all the while.
00:17:03
We're heading to the Christmas shop to get this guy.
00:17:05
And so I felt so bad though.
00:17:07
I just kind of got up and left.
00:17:09
We did.
00:17:10
And then my own kind of left.
00:17:11
And Missy's watching is because she's like, what did I do wrong?
00:17:15
These girls.
00:17:16
These girls like me.
00:17:17
Oh my gosh.
00:17:18
She's so funny.
00:17:19
So Missy ends up.
00:17:20
We find her later on in the evening.
00:17:21
And we're like, OK.
00:17:22
Did you see us leave?
00:17:23
She's like, I did.
00:17:24
And we're like, OK.
00:17:25
Here's what happened.
00:17:26
So she was dying.
00:17:27
I think she thought it was so funny.
00:17:28
And she invited us to hang out with her.
00:17:29
Yeah.
00:17:30
We hung out with her.
00:17:31
Yeah.
00:17:32
And she said, did you get it?
00:17:33
And we were like, well, we were almost embarrassed because there were like 3000 of you.
00:17:35
Yeah.
00:17:36
And we were like, OK.
00:17:37
Here we go.
00:17:38
But she did such a good job.
00:17:39
We did.
00:17:40
She did.
00:17:41
Yeah.
00:17:56
Oh, good.
00:17:57
I'm glad you went.
00:17:58
Today's agenda is this.
00:17:59
And there is a cake walk.
00:18:00
And we win.
00:18:01
Yes.
00:18:02
At 11.
00:18:03
Oh, we were quiet.
00:18:04
Yes.
00:18:05
So it's not real cake.
00:18:06
It's not real cake.
00:18:07
Sorry.
00:18:08
I was going to eat all the frosting off and give you the cake.
00:18:10
I was going to look on her face.
00:18:12
I was like, Cara will make it for the cake walk if it's real cake.
00:18:16
But we asked yesterday and we're like, is it real cake?
00:18:19
And they're like, well, that way it's layered.
00:18:21
It's layer cake.
00:18:22
And I'm like, and then we were like, oh, we want real cake with like icing and sugar.
00:18:27
Yeah.
00:18:28
I mean, because we can get layer cakes ourselves.
00:18:30
Yeah.
00:18:31
I really just want a piece of cake.
00:18:32
A real piece of cake.
00:18:33
And so I was like, and when I found it, it shouldn't be fabric.
00:18:35
I'm like, Cara will be disappointed.
00:18:37
Oh, she's going next to me.
00:18:40
Oh, she's going next to me.
00:18:41
Oh, she's good.
00:18:42
She's going to be a wasso girl.
00:18:43
Okay.
00:18:44
Oh, yeah.
00:18:45
She'll love you.
00:18:46
Yes, you'll love you.
00:18:47
And a wasso's guild is very nice to you.
00:18:50
Very nice.
00:18:51
I've been to that one.
00:18:52
So the rest of the stuff today, we're going to the triple play with the dome girls.
00:18:58
Nope.
00:18:59
Nope.
00:19:00
Not today.
00:19:01
That's tomorrow morning.
00:19:02
Well, so I like today.
00:19:03
You just follow me.
00:19:04
Jenny has a trunk show at one o'clock where you've got tickets for that.
00:19:08
And it's through.
00:19:09
It's tied to her book throughout the through life.
00:19:14
Yeah, quilting through life.
00:19:15
So it's tied to that.
00:19:17
And then tonight our other event is the dome girls trunk show.
00:19:20
And so we've got both of those trunk shows today.
00:19:24
Who?
00:19:25
Missy.
00:19:26
Hi, Missy.
00:19:27
You missed our conversation.
00:19:29
We were just talking about you.
00:19:30
But you can watch it later.
00:19:31
You can watch it later.
00:19:32
But that's what we have technically planned today.
00:19:35
We may get this afternoon.
00:19:38
Janet Wecker-Fresh.
00:19:39
She's wanting to do an interview with us.
00:19:41
And so we're going to hopefully get to record a podcast with her while she's here.
00:19:45
Y'all she is so fantastic.
00:19:47
She is just fascinating.
00:19:48
She isn't.
00:19:49
She's so fascinating.
00:19:50
It is so amazing that.
00:19:53
You know, it's weird when you plan something for your life.
00:19:56
Yeah.
00:19:57
And God laughs at you about it.
00:19:58
Uh-huh.
00:19:59
And he says, oh, no, that's not what you're going to do.
00:20:00
You're going to do something else.
00:20:01
Right, you're going to do fabric.
00:20:02
And when she did the fabric, are you going to tell what do we want to tell her story?
00:20:06
We don't want to tell you what we want to tell you because she's going to tell you so good.
00:20:10
But check out her fabric.
00:20:11
Yes.
00:20:12
Oh, her unique.
00:20:13
You know, they're fantastic.
00:20:15
And I can't.
00:20:16
And she is with Riley Blake.
00:20:17
Yeah.
00:20:18
So you can go check out her stuff.
00:20:19
We want to tell you what we can't because we want her to tell this part.
00:20:22
We also, uh, Jenny's daughter.
00:20:25
Jenny's daughter Hillary.
00:20:26
Who writes books.
00:20:27
She writes books.
00:20:28
She and a lot of her books are like quilt, quilt mysteries.
00:20:31
Yeah.
00:20:32
She is just.
00:20:33
She's the most interesting.
00:20:34
She is very.
00:20:35
She's the writer in the family.
00:20:37
Yeah.
00:20:38
And this family is all talented.
00:20:39
Let's just be real.
00:20:40
I did.
00:20:41
I posted a picture.
00:20:43
Go out to my stories.
00:20:45
Um, I posted a picture of her.
00:20:47
And I put her link.
00:20:48
I tagged her so you can go check out her Instagram page.
00:20:51
Go look at her book.
00:20:52
She's.
00:20:53
She's so interesting.
00:20:54
She is.
00:20:55
She is.
00:20:56
Like I really like her.
00:20:58
And she's just.
00:20:59
I mean, the thing about the Dones and I can't say this enough.
00:21:02
And I know that they probably get tired of hearing this.
00:21:05
The family is so genuine.
00:21:07
And they are so.
00:21:08
They're.
00:21:09
People lovers.
00:21:11
Oh, they're genuine and generous.
00:21:13
Yes.
00:21:14
Yes.
00:21:15
They're generous people.
00:21:16
So we want to go back to.
00:21:17
We bought our swag bag.
00:21:18
Okay.
00:21:19
So please with this.
00:21:20
We should show some stuff.
00:21:21
So.
00:21:22
So I'm going to take your headphones off while you get this.
00:21:24
Okay.
00:21:25
Yeah.
00:21:26
Right.
00:21:27
Yeah.
00:21:28
We did.
00:21:29
Yep.
00:21:30
But.
00:21:31
But with their.
00:21:32
Uh-huh.
00:21:33
Yeah.
00:21:34
She's like.
00:21:35
She.
00:21:36
I don't know.
00:21:37
Uh, Christmas in.
00:21:38
Christmas in something or other.
00:21:40
Okay.
00:21:41
Can you hear me?
00:21:43
I can hear you.
00:21:44
Can you.
00:21:45
You can hear me.
00:21:46
Oh, yeah.
00:21:47
Okay.
00:21:48
This is the bag we got last night.
00:21:49
Oh, by the way.
00:21:50
Oh, this is last night's bag.
00:21:51
This is the book quilting through life.
00:21:53
It's a book with Jenny Don.
00:21:54
This is the book that she's got out right now.
00:21:56
And.
00:21:57
Oh, the nice thing about this book is that it has the spiral.
00:22:00
It's spiral in at least flat.
00:22:01
And you can do all sorts of things.
00:22:03
So it's fantastic.
00:22:04
It's just so good.
00:22:05
It's so good.
00:22:06
It's so good.
00:22:07
It starts from very early photos of the family and her kids and things.
00:22:10
And it gradually goes on.
00:22:11
And she tells different stories.
00:22:12
It's really super interesting.
00:22:13
Okay.
00:22:14
This is the swag bag we got last night.
00:22:15
Okay.
00:22:16
So on our seats.
00:22:17
So we spent.
00:22:18
Okay.
00:22:19
Keep it up.
00:22:20
Okay.
00:22:21
Keep it up.
00:22:22
Okay.
00:22:23
It's from the grocery store.
00:22:24
Oh, yes.
00:22:25
Yes.
00:22:26
Do you want to see it?
00:22:27
So if you come to Hamilton, go to the grocery store.
00:22:30
You guys look how big this barn quilt is.
00:22:33
I got we got a grocery store.
00:22:34
It's like 90 bucks.
00:22:35
It's $80.
00:22:36
Yeah.
00:22:37
Okay.
00:22:38
Yeah.
00:22:39
Yeah.
00:22:40
80 bucks.
00:22:41
Isn't that fabulous?
00:22:42
It's so awesome.
00:22:43
It's so awesome.
00:22:44
And they have all sorts of different sizes.
00:22:46
And they have some that are like little rectangles.
00:22:48
They have little ones.
00:22:49
They have smaller ones.
00:22:50
They have octag, octag, octag, octagonal.
00:22:52
Yeah.
00:22:53
And then coasters.
00:22:54
Coasters.
00:22:55
All the way down to a coaster size.
00:22:56
Right.
00:22:57
But this one I'm going to put on my patty.
00:22:58
I'm really excited about it.
00:22:59
Oh, love it.
00:23:00
Love it.
00:23:01
And you know, they're saying that they predict that they're going to sell out.
00:23:03
Which they are, but they're going to bring more back in.
00:23:05
They always get more.
00:23:06
They always get more.
00:23:07
It's from.
00:23:08
A haunting.
00:23:09
Yes.
00:23:10
That's it.
00:23:11
A haunting and quilter square.
00:23:14
You guys.
00:23:15
Okay.
00:23:16
This is the swag bag last night.
00:23:17
So this was every.
00:23:18
Oh, and they also fed us.
00:23:19
So we came in and they had.
00:23:20
They had.
00:23:21
Chiquiri.
00:23:22
Chiquiri.
00:23:23
You know, it was a pocket.
00:23:24
It was a pocket.
00:23:25
It was a pocket.
00:23:26
It was.
00:23:27
And pocket chiquiri.
00:23:28
And what was funny is we got there a little bit late.
00:23:29
Yeah.
00:23:30
And so not really late.
00:23:31
But they only had two spots and then one spot.
00:23:33
So these two sat together and I sat in front of them.
00:23:35
So the women that were.
00:23:37
And there was a bag on the seat.
00:23:39
And this woman takes it off.
00:23:40
And I thought it was just people were sitting.
00:23:42
That's what I thought.
00:23:43
Saving their seats.
00:23:44
So the women I sit with.
00:23:47
They didn't like their peppers.
00:23:48
And so they're handing me that.
00:23:49
And they're giving their cheese.
00:23:50
And they're salami and their pickles.
00:23:51
I'm like getting this full meal there.
00:23:53
And all I had to give away with my crackers.
00:23:55
And my cookie because they.
00:23:56
I gave you.
00:23:57
I gave you my.
00:23:58
You gave me.
00:23:59
I gave you my pepper.
00:24:00
You did.
00:24:01
Pickle pepper.
00:24:02
And and Cara gave me her pepper too.
00:24:03
So.
00:24:04
Yeah.
00:24:06
Right.
00:24:07
We just thought we were going to.
00:24:09
Yeah.
00:24:10
And we're going to.
00:24:11
Okay.
00:24:12
Now we're going to show you the.
00:24:13
So this is the bag.
00:24:14
It came in.
00:24:15
I mean, first of all, how stinking cute is that?
00:24:16
Cute, cute, cute.
00:24:17
It says evening with the dones.
00:24:18
And that was the event we went to last night.
00:24:20
It was called evening with the dones.
00:24:21
The theme is like 50s diner.
00:24:24
Right.
00:24:25
It was.
00:24:26
It was so cute.
00:24:27
And so this.
00:24:28
Y'all a whole layer cake of laundry basket.
00:24:30
I mean, what in its beach house?
00:24:33
It's so pretty.
00:24:35
Oh my gosh.
00:24:36
Like I can't.
00:24:37
And it would make super cute little balls.
00:24:38
Oh my gosh.
00:24:39
A whole layer cake.
00:24:40
And if y'all are not already.
00:24:41
Yeah.
00:24:42
I don't know what's wrong with it.
00:24:43
Okay.
00:24:44
And it came with a little cutting mat.
00:24:46
We got a little rug pattern, which I'd never even heard of doing.
00:24:50
Something like that.
00:24:51
But that's fascinating.
00:24:52
Wonder did I get this one?
00:24:53
Yeah.
00:24:54
You get.
00:24:55
You got watercolor quilt kits by whims.
00:24:57
A rose star quilt pattern.
00:24:58
Yeah.
00:24:59
And it has all the things that you need for that.
00:25:02
That came with a Taylor's marking set from dritts.
00:25:05
And you guys.
00:25:06
These are a must.
00:25:07
If you.
00:25:08
When you want to mark on, you know, you're doing your bindings.
00:25:10
And you want to get to your quarter of an inch and you put it there.
00:25:12
This little pencil there just goes on.
00:25:14
I like it better than the friction pins and things like that because it's a Taylor chalk like.
00:25:19
And it comes off much easier.
00:25:20
Yeah.
00:25:21
Okay.
00:25:22
Fat quarters.
00:25:23
I'm sure that's our quarter.
00:25:24
Those are fat quarters.
00:25:25
Here's a little charm pack.
00:25:28
A no pad from Moda.
00:25:30
Moda.
00:25:31
Moda candy.
00:25:32
Moda candy.
00:25:33
Moda candy.
00:25:34
But it's actually charm little mini charms.
00:25:36
But I'm hoping that my friend Leslie, there's one of them here that she doesn't like very well.
00:25:39
Probably.
00:25:40
And then we got a little patch.
00:25:42
Yeah.
00:25:43
Even with the dones, which is so cute.
00:25:44
And then we got flower head pins, which are always.
00:25:47
You know, because flower head pins would.
00:25:49
I have another mini charm.
00:25:50
You can iron over them.
00:25:51
And they don't stick up.
00:25:52
That's what I mean.
00:25:53
And we're going to chuck the duck.
00:25:54
And.
00:25:55
And.
00:25:56
And.
00:25:57
Yeah.
00:25:58
Let's do.
00:25:59
Because I thought this.
00:26:00
I thought this was bad.
00:26:01
Shannon.
00:26:02
Shannon.
00:26:03
The cuddle.
00:26:04
Shannon fabrics.
00:26:05
And this is the.
00:26:06
And they gave us an infinity scarf.
00:26:07
And I kept.
00:26:08
I was going to make it stuff down.
00:26:09
No, it's an infinity scarf.
00:26:10
You all.
00:26:11
And it comes with a little.
00:26:12
Tax so that you can finish it out.
00:26:14
Like you make an infinity scarf with it.
00:26:17
Okay.
00:26:18
Or you can make whatever you want with it.
00:26:20
But.
00:26:21
Oh, isn't that so.
00:26:22
And it's beautiful.
00:26:23
It's so.
00:26:24
This is so.
00:26:25
It looks like a snake.
00:26:26
It looks like.
00:26:27
No, it looks like.
00:26:28
It looks like a.
00:26:29
I don't know what.
00:26:30
That's.
00:26:31
Okay.
00:26:32
Fine.
00:26:33
A beautiful snake.
00:26:34
It's gorgeous.
00:26:35
But that is what we got.
00:26:37
It's just for going.
00:26:38
Yeah.
00:26:39
To watch them.
00:26:40
Like I.
00:26:41
They had me a layer cake.
00:26:42
Yeah.
00:26:43
Yeah.
00:26:44
I didn't need anything.
00:26:45
They had me at Motocandy.
00:26:46
Oh, there you go.
00:26:47
Motocandy.
00:26:48
Wow.
00:26:49
You're cheap.
00:26:50
I know.
00:26:51
Hey, you know that.
00:26:52
Because you know.
00:26:53
I do know hot dog.
00:26:54
Y'all this is just for.
00:26:55
Y'all this is just one swag bag.
00:26:56
That we got from for going to that event.
00:26:57
Right.
00:26:58
We had a swag bag when we got here.
00:26:59
Right.
00:27:00
It's been crazy.
00:27:01
Right.
00:27:02
We did pay for that one.
00:27:03
But.
00:27:04
And I think this.
00:27:05
We had a small fee that we bought our ticket.
00:27:06
We did pay.
00:27:07
We did pay.
00:27:08
But it wasn't worth.
00:27:09
It was more than what this was.
00:27:10
It was in.
00:27:11
We paid less than the value of all the stuff in the bag.
00:27:13
We paid less than what this charm pack.
00:27:15
It's what a pot.
00:27:16
It's insane.
00:27:17
It's nuts.
00:27:18
I just.
00:27:19
I'm always so impressed with everything that they do.
00:27:21
And it was really cool with the family that they were talking.
00:27:23
Because they brought all the kids were out and their spouses.
00:27:26
And they had.
00:27:27
They were.
00:27:28
Jenny and Ron were mic'd up.
00:27:30
And they did.
00:27:31
They told the kids.
00:27:32
And they would talk about things.
00:27:34
And it would break.
00:27:35
And it would go to a video.
00:27:36
And they would show the videos.
00:27:37
And then they would talk more about it.
00:27:39
And they passed the microphone around it.
00:27:41
So we really got to know the inside of how the family ticks.
00:27:45
So good.
00:27:46
And.
00:27:47
So much more.
00:27:48
That's.
00:27:49
Lorraine.
00:27:50
Yeah.
00:27:51
She is.
00:27:52
You haven't read.
00:27:53
How to stick.
00:27:54
Pull this.
00:27:55
Oh, yeah.
00:27:56
Jenny's live.
00:27:57
It's awesome.
00:27:58
I agree.
00:27:59
That bad.
00:28:00
I've read it twice.
00:28:01
Actually, it's great.
00:28:02
Lorraine, this is, Lorraine makes the beautiful, I mean, this is one of the very minute, one of the many things.
00:28:11
Is this my bag?
00:28:11
Yeah, it is.
00:28:12
I've been carrying this around and everybody stops us.
00:28:15
Carras been carrying her bag.
00:28:16
We get stopped.
00:28:19
Every time we turn around, we were getting stopped out somewhere.
00:28:21
So Lorraine, you should be getting like tons of orders, honestly.
00:28:24
The thing about her bags that are so, so good, any of your bags you get, and I buy lots of them, I bought the one that I think it's the Japanese French knot one.
00:28:32
Yeah, and what I like about it is that I can slide it up here on my arm right here and my hands are free and it stays close so someone can't walk in and do this number.
00:28:41
She puts snaps on these two, and what I love about Lorraine's bags is the inside, it's just linen, and it's just beautiful.
00:28:49
Can you guys see that in the snap?
00:28:51
So it snaps together.
00:28:52
It's so good.
00:28:54
And she has a lot of different designs and stuff, and here's Carras.
00:28:59
It's so pretty.
00:29:01
I love it.
00:29:02
And hers has the same, like you'll see the, and the stitching is so good.
00:29:05
Lorraine, you just talented girl.
00:29:07
And she's repurposing old quilts, and I know there's this whole thing that people to get upset about this, but trust me, if you get it at a thrift market, the family didn't care about it.
00:29:17
And listen, I don't know how we care about these.
00:29:20
I don't care if people get upset.
00:29:22
I mean, they can go out, it is, and they can go out to lots of people that are going to repurpose it and use it, and it's going to love being used.
00:29:32
And that's, and we also have her, whoo, Kleenex covers.
00:29:37
So they're really cute.
00:29:38
You know, you put your little square Kleenex thing in there.
00:29:40
So did you see we got these two?
00:29:41
Oh, yeah, this was it was crazy.
00:29:42
I bought these because I thought I needed them.
00:29:44
And then they gave them to us.
00:29:45
They're the fabric markers.
00:29:47
So it's they come in a kit.
00:29:49
So you can get this from Missouri star.
00:29:52
These are Missouri stars markers.
00:29:54
So there's a fat, a broad tip marker and a fine tip marker.
00:29:57
And this one, this one feels lovely in your hand.
00:30:02
That would be good for people that have to do OT on their hands.
00:30:08
Oh, that might be, but very, very good.
00:30:12
Hillary, Don't Sparey.
00:30:14
Yes, Hillary, Don't Sparey is the author.
00:30:17
And she lives in Arkansas, and like three and a half hours away from here.
00:30:22
And Karen, I, we, we work for a bank in the area.
00:30:26
And she banks with us.
00:30:27
And she, it is just, it was so funny to just kind of be able to talk about an area that she's familiar with and we're familiar with because we don't live here in Missouri.
00:30:34
But she lives in an area we're familiar with.
00:30:36
So it's kind of, that was kind of cool.
00:30:38
I wish I could remember her friend who is also an author.
00:30:41
And I will talk to her.
00:30:43
We'll get her name, because she writes to you.
00:30:45
She does.
00:30:46
And you know, it's hard for me because, well, you know, I'm meeting like a million people.
00:30:51
And it's so hard.
00:30:52
And it's not that we're trying to discount who she is.
00:30:55
I, you know, I have these names in my head.
00:30:56
And then I think, I'm going to write this down.
00:30:58
And I don't write down.
00:30:59
And you know, they'll tell it to me later on.
00:31:02
So what was your, oh, yesterday we went through all the booths.
00:31:05
And we met Lisa.
00:31:06
We finally got to meet Lisa.
00:31:07
Yeah, she is delightful.
00:31:11
We love her.
00:31:11
And she's a little tiny.
00:31:12
She's not as tiny as Missy.
00:31:14
Missy is a micro.
00:31:15
Missy is a micro.
00:31:16
She's micro.
00:31:17
And then Lisa is tiny.
00:31:19
Yeah, she's tiny because she's well, but so fun and nice.
00:31:24
And she's got so much personality.
00:31:26
So we're going to have her and Susan Ockie on the show.
00:31:29
And so we'll get that scheduled.
00:31:31
And they will be.
00:31:32
That will be a, that will be a great podcast because they have there.
00:31:36
So they've been in the industry for years.
00:31:36
And they have so much knowledge to share, but the two of them work together to build amazing books.
00:31:43
And so I cannot, I can't wait to interview them.
00:31:45
They'll be, that'll be a really good treat for us.
00:31:49
And then yesterday I signed up in the omn, well, the booth that does the, oh, and I won this premium.
00:31:59
Yeah, yeah, prime, prime, prime, prime, whatever.
00:32:03
I don't know anyway, a rotating mat that is 24 inches.
00:32:07
Yeah.
00:32:08
And it's this huge.
00:32:09
And and Leslie asked me, why are the scallops on there?
00:32:10
Why do they do this?
00:32:11
I said, because it's easier to turn the, you know, you're the one you have to kind of get under there.
00:32:15
And you could turn it any area.
00:32:17
And it's really cool.
00:32:19
Then also the omnigrid ruler holder.
00:32:22
And I received, I've got the mini one.
00:32:23
And then the big one.
00:32:24
Yeah.
00:32:25
And the other thing I like about those is that, you know, because I like ruler holders.
00:32:29
But you notice the little divot that's in there that you could put some little nibbets that are little clips.
00:32:35
You could put clips or you could put candy corn.
00:32:38
Hey, so speaking of candy corn, I need to tell you people this thing here about this.
00:32:42
So the three of us, well, actually, there was our group and we were all quilting together at a retreat.
00:32:47
And candy corn had just come out.
00:32:49
The branches that we like are rocks.
00:32:51
Brocks.
00:32:51
Yeah.
00:32:52
Brocks candy corn.
00:32:53
And you had, you had not had not had candy corn for almost 10 years because my grandson will be 10.
00:32:58
And I don't remember if I stopped eating candy corn when Lena was pregnant or when he was born.
00:33:02
But anyway, it's been at least nine years.
00:33:05
I've not had candy corn.
00:33:06
And my husband and I were talking about it.
00:33:08
And you know, I love all other candies.
00:33:11
And he said, well, I think that the issue is, is that you gave up candy corn that you love so much.
00:33:16
And why you eat so much other candy is you're trying to find the substitute for the candy corn.
00:33:20
Oh, I was like, so we bought the bag.
00:33:22
So you needed to just.
00:33:24
You're.
00:33:24
Yeah, candy corn.
00:33:26
Yeah.
00:33:26
So I bought the bag.
00:33:27
And I think actually I think we ended out their four of us that bought it.
00:33:32
And I think we had four bags of candy corn.
00:33:34
Yeah.
00:33:34
So I opened mine and I put it in there and I ate two of them.
00:33:36
Where did you have this at?
00:33:38
At the wheel.
00:33:39
Oh, yeah, because you ate something.
00:33:41
I ate two of them.
00:33:42
And then I went back through the kitchen.
00:33:44
And then I ate three more.
00:33:46
But I didn't eat my bag, which was surprising because that's what I do.
00:33:49
Do you know, since then, I have not had well, yesterday I had some candy because we didn't eat.
00:33:54
And they had it in the little thing there, but I ate a little tiny package of M&M's and then didn't I have a tootsie roll.
00:34:01
I wasn't watching.
00:34:02
I know, but I mean, but when you when you had the skittles or whatever starbursts, yeah, you had starbursts.
00:34:07
Oh, we were walking through the booth.
00:34:08
We were rolly Blake.
00:34:09
Yeah, yeah, grab M&M's.
00:34:11
Oh, I didn't see.
00:34:12
Yeah.
00:34:13
So.
00:34:13
So.
00:34:13
But you clearly watch you.
00:34:19
Because I didn't want to eat farbers.
00:34:19
Oh, so you're looking to see what else was there.
00:34:20
Right.
00:34:20
So you have starbursts.
00:34:21
And they had tootsie rolls, the flavor tootsie rolls, which I would have rather than a star.
00:34:25
I don't like.
00:34:26
I know.
00:34:26
And you like the starbursts.
00:34:27
And I think he's only the classic tootsie roll all day long.
00:34:30
They had some of those two, but I didn't see the classics.
00:34:32
They would.
00:34:33
Anyway.
00:34:34
So.
00:34:34
So I not had candy.
00:34:36
And I think it was true.
00:34:37
I think it was I just my body was like, I had just like, you know, you just need to have a little candy corn.
00:34:42
And someone else.
00:34:43
I think it was missy that said that she likes the pumpkins.
00:34:47
She what she does.
00:34:48
I like the pumpkins too.
00:34:50
They're marshmallow.
00:34:51
You don't like candy corn.
00:34:54
She doesn't.
00:34:54
So do you do you think the pumpkins taste different than candy corn?
00:34:58
Yeah, they do because the pumpkins are marshmallow.
00:35:01
The candy corn.
00:35:02
It's more honey.
00:35:03
It's candy corn is like honey.
00:35:05
I like the pumpkins too, but I like them all.
00:35:07
But if I had to choose one or the other, I would choose the candy corn over the pumpkin.
00:35:12
Have you ever tried to like heat up a marshmallow one?
00:35:15
We should try.
00:35:17
Do you think it would blow up in the microwave?
00:35:19
Heat up a marshmallow pumpkin.
00:35:21
I don't think it would blow up.
00:35:23
I think we need we need to do it and get ready to do that.
00:35:26
We need to go buy some of the grocery store today.
00:35:29
And we'll test it out.
00:35:30
They'll have them.
00:35:31
Of course it's a grocery store.
00:35:32
Yeah, I mean, they have to have it.
00:35:34
It's seasonal.
00:35:36
It is any other questions.
00:35:38
Nobody has any questions.
00:35:39
Okay, so let's go back to some of the things that we saw that are here at.
00:35:45
You know, first of all, if you haven't ever been here to Hamilton, it's like going.
00:35:49
It's cool town USA.
00:35:50
It's like the old time walking out malls where your street malls that you're not all.
00:35:55
It's like mainstream, though.
00:35:56
It's not like it's not like going to a it's not like going to an album all like where you're bouncing around.
00:36:02
It's it's like a downtown quaint.
00:36:05
Yes, every store every store different things.
00:36:08
So one of the things that they started that they just opened it was the meat market.
00:36:13
Okay, it's the fabric.
00:36:15
But it was put after a meat market.
00:36:19
Yeah, so they sell.
00:36:21
I need to go get that t-shirt.
00:36:24
Hi, Julia.
00:36:25
So they they have it set up like it's a meat market and you buy fabric by the pound.
00:36:31
Yeah, so they'll have two and a half inch scripts and they're all different colors.
00:36:34
Yeah, get to choose.
00:36:35
I think you can choose which ones you wanted.
00:36:37
I don't know or you say I just I want a pound of two and a half in strips and they'll pull out and put it on and weigh it and back it up and you're on your way.
00:36:44
Oh, yeah, oh, Ireland.
00:36:51
Yeah, wow.
00:36:54
We to come here to Missouri star.
00:36:55
There you go.
00:36:56
There you go.
00:36:57
That's it.
00:36:57
It's it's totally worth the trip.
00:36:59
It is.
00:36:59
It's so good.
00:37:00
You would probably be the one that traveled farthest.
00:37:02
The big.
00:37:03
I mean, in an audience, if you're coming for an event, that's true.
00:37:07
Right.
00:37:08
They're all over the world that come here.
00:37:10
So good.
00:37:11
So and they ship.
00:37:12
This is the other thing you said.
00:37:13
If you spend $59, they will ship your stuff.
00:37:16
Let me tell you if you don't spend $59 unless you're like me, no spend September.
00:37:20
You're no weirdo.
00:37:21
I know, but you you still did manage to spend it was business expense.
00:37:27
You're still going to spend.
00:37:28
You're going to spend.
00:37:29
You are.
00:37:30
That is.
00:37:31
And then they'll ship it off.
00:37:32
Right.
00:37:33
Right.
00:37:34
They they when you walked into the one store, they had some different sweatshirts.
00:37:40
They're now coming out with the the winter wear.
00:37:45
Yeah, y'all need to see the sweatshirt because she's good.
00:37:50
Yeah, it's it's and it's the way that it's cut is so cool because it's long and yeah, open it up and look at this thing.
00:37:58
It is it is pretty darn nice and they came to different colors.
00:38:08
And I don't think it's necessarily a Christmas one.
00:38:10
I think it's scalloped at the bottom.
00:38:13
It's winter.
00:38:13
So you could wear I'm because you could wear this.
00:38:15
You could wear this from now until February.
00:38:18
The front of the shirt is scalloped and the back is scalloped.
00:38:21
So it comes down over your tushy.
00:38:24
Yep.
00:38:24
And so you could wear leggings or jeans or leggings or whatever.
00:38:30
Yeah.
00:38:31
And it's it's a nice way.
00:38:32
It's not a super heavy way, but it's not like so.
00:38:36
Yeah.
00:38:37
Right.
00:38:37
It's super soft.
00:38:38
I would say that this would be something that you know, if you're weather's in the it's in the upper 30s and you wanted to walk to the mailbox, you wouldn't need to put a jacket on.
00:38:47
You know, if you put a little light vest over it, you would probably be able to wear it much, much longer with it.
00:38:53
Oh, yeah, this is pretty cool.
00:38:55
Okay.
00:38:55
And you'll have to see the pillow I got for my camper.
00:39:02
We like to sleep around.
00:39:04
It's got a little camper.
00:39:06
How cute is that?
00:39:07
Of course, this was one of my impulse shots.
00:39:10
It was.
00:39:10
But Rochelle Rochelle was encouraging me to spend a lot of money.
00:39:15
And it was like a bad thing.
00:39:17
And then I felt bad all night long.
00:39:19
You did?
00:39:20
Well, that's why I was talking about the machine.
00:39:21
Well, because I was I was I was pushing you into, but I I would have pulled you back if I thought you shouldn't do it.
00:39:27
I feel like a minute.
00:39:29
You know, let me do this.
00:39:30
I would have pulled you back.
00:39:31
You would have pulled me back.
00:39:32
Are you wearing that cap?
00:39:35
A hundred percent.
00:39:38
Because casual date, her bank is in her house.
00:39:41
They work from home.
00:39:44
They're home workers.
00:39:50
Okay, here.
00:39:51
I will just do a little trunk show.
00:39:53
Yeah.
00:39:54
Okay, we all three.
00:39:56
Yes, it's a hook.
00:39:57
What's it called?
00:39:59
It's a wool hook, wool hooked pillow.
00:40:02
And it's got a featherweight, a black featherweight.
00:40:05
And it's got flowers in it's just absolutely gorgeous.
00:40:09
So you can probably buy this on Missouri stars online.
00:40:12
You need to go buy these.
00:40:13
They are gorgeous.
00:40:14
They will they they sold out of the yesterday.
00:40:16
They'll probably get more in, but you need to go check these out because these are beautiful.
00:40:19
And this was this was not a bad price.
00:40:21
$59.
00:40:22
That's amazing for a hooked pillow.
00:40:26
So anyway, go get you that yesterday's daily deal.
00:40:29
So they have daily deals on Missouri star all the time.
00:40:32
So the yesterday's daily deal was a quilt storage bag.
00:40:34
It's like for a full queen.
00:40:36
We got these for $5.95.
00:40:37
And today's daily deal is a bundle of cake.
00:40:41
That's it for $24.
00:40:42
Oh my gosh.
00:40:45
Okay, so get your daily deal.
00:40:52
I'm 84.
00:40:52
It's my favorite.
00:40:52
I go up on a beach.
00:40:52
That's sweet.
00:40:52
84.
00:40:53
Oh my gosh.
00:40:54
I'm good years ahead.
00:40:56
Okay, I'm going to show this team.
00:40:57
This is what this is what we left left for.
00:41:02
This is what we left missies thing for.
00:41:04
And you'll now understand.
00:41:05
Okay.
00:41:06
It's enchanted Christmas.
00:41:08
It's their keepsake embroidery kit.
00:41:12
It is absolutely gorgeous.
00:41:15
And I can't I can't do this thing justice.
00:41:17
Do you think?
00:41:18
I don't think so.
00:41:19
I don't really think I can.
00:41:20
It comes with all the things that you need to make this quilt.
00:41:24
And y'all we got you.
00:41:27
Everybody's going to have their own opinion.
00:41:29
I think the black is just stunning.
00:41:32
And they have the white.
00:41:33
You can do the white with the green or the black with the red.
00:41:37
The black in the red is.
00:41:39
Oh, it's so good.
00:41:40
And one of the things that benefit all the pearl cotton is the pearl cotton when you're using the other embroidery.
00:41:46
You have to separate it out.
00:41:48
This is twisted.
00:41:49
And they said this is probably between two and three of the threads with it.
00:41:53
Beautiful colors.
00:41:55
And it's not going to it's not going to you're not going to have to worry about trying to get it so that you.
00:42:00
This is actually Jenny's favorite.
00:42:02
It's her favorite pro cotton.
00:42:04
It comes with all the instruction cards.
00:42:07
And it'll tell you like how to do the stitches gives you the stitch.
00:42:11
Instructions here everything that you need to be successful with this.
00:42:15
But every tree like I tell you what to do.
00:42:18
What's the backstitch.
00:42:19
What's the French knot.
00:42:20
What's a satin stitch.
00:42:21
And how to build these out.
00:42:22
So every one of these in which fabrics that are which.
00:42:25
These are the stitches you'll need.
00:42:27
I mean this is just really.
00:42:28
And then this is sticky.
00:42:30
So it has the pattern already printed on it.
00:42:33
You put it onto your fabric.
00:42:36
And then you stitch on it.
00:42:37
And then you put it into water.
00:42:38
And it will it will go ahead and dissolve.
00:42:40
So you don't have to try ironing on and hoping and praying that you're going to get the you know the colors out like we used to do in the old embroidery day.
00:42:49
So these are peel and stitch wash away.
00:42:52
Sheets.
00:42:53
And so they all come like this and you'll peel it and stick it on the fabric.
00:42:57
And then you stitch right on the lines.
00:42:59
And then at the end you just wash it off.
00:43:01
And like we talked about this is one of the things this is not you're going to get it done tomorrow.
00:43:08
But you could.
00:43:08
I mean you could want to.
00:43:09
But this is something that you're making an heirloom quilt that may take you four or five or six or 10 years or 20 or whatever.
00:43:16
Because with everything you need to be successful and I am just thrilled with this.
00:43:21
So it's got the fabric key in here.
00:43:23
So if you're wondering yeah I got the black.
00:43:26
I got the black.
00:43:27
So you'll want the black specialty kit.
00:43:29
We all well you know she's been September.
00:43:33
So frame squares to the specialty kit in black.
00:43:36
You'll want this and it's ready for embroidery.
00:43:40
It's already ready to go.
00:43:41
And then you want to get your backing.
00:43:43
And so the backing is a velveteen.
00:43:45
And this is all valveteen.
00:43:47
So the velveteen.
00:43:49
So beautiful.
00:43:50
It's just gorgeous.
00:43:51
It's so heirloom like it feels heirloom.
00:43:54
And it doesn't look like paint.
00:43:55
You know Elvis painted on velvet.
00:43:57
It is so beautiful.
00:43:59
It is incredibly beautiful.
00:44:00
It reminds me of the beautiful tapestries of that you that you would get not that it's tapest not the velveteen tapestry but that richness of it that you get with it.
00:44:10
That's a great.
00:44:11
That's a great description of it.
00:44:12
It's super.
00:44:13
It's very rich.
00:44:13
It's just beautiful.
00:44:14
Oh, I can't believe it's so pretty.
00:44:16
Hi.
00:44:19
We love you too.
00:44:21
We are in the best place ever.
00:44:32
You know, this is our Disney like I think the only thing that could make this better.
00:44:37
What?
00:44:38
Is it Hamilton had a Chick-fil-A?
00:44:40
That is the only I mean out of everything else in the world.
00:44:46
There is nothing here that I need.
00:44:49
I mean it is and the atmosphere we were talking about the people and Missouri people are so nice and you go in the store and you know the stores are just cuckoo crazy but they have up there.
00:45:01
I mean the cash registers are full of people.
00:45:04
I needed one color.
00:45:06
I needed one quarter of a yard of a cone a cotton and I had I had ordered everything online and they were out of this one.
00:45:14
So I went in and I was going to have them special cut it for me and the assistant manager says, oh, well, let's go back.
00:45:20
It looks here that I have.
00:45:21
I don't know X number, you know, let's just make up a number.
00:45:23
It looks like I have 13 yards of this and I only needed a quarter of a yard.
00:45:27
And I was looking I thought it was more black but it was actually more of a navy bluish and he walks over he picks it up and he goes, here it is and it's like, oh my gosh, I mean it was totally navy blue and I didn't expect that at all because the name didn't I don't know what I don't need.
00:45:42
Right.
00:45:55
It's so the.
00:45:59
Yes, the next week.
00:45:59
I think it's next Friday.
00:46:00
Isn't it missy comment again and tell us if it's.
00:46:02
Oh, yes, your day when we were doing yet.
00:46:07
That's why that's why we bought it was because well then stay tuned.
00:46:11
It'll be available at some point.
00:46:11
I'm sure if it's not already, but I mean we.
00:46:16
It's so pretty.
00:46:17
Hi.
00:46:21
I see the famous note books.
00:46:24
Yes.
00:46:25
Oh, look.
00:46:27
That's all fine.
00:46:28
That's what it looks like from there.
00:46:30
And yes, yes, I made it.
00:46:31
You know, it's funny because I wore that shirt that one day.
00:46:34
We were talking about something.
00:46:36
I don't know some shirt had a paisley on it.
00:46:38
Oh, yeah, do you like paisley and I'm thinking do you know I've never like I don't.
00:46:43
I think I've seen yellow and pink and that's all I think about like in a red box.
00:46:49
I don't know that I've ever noticed that this was paisley.
00:46:52
That's funny.
00:46:53
It's funny.
00:46:54
So in the stores, we did not hit every store.
00:46:59
We didn't know.
00:47:01
We did not go to floral and we did not go to batiques because I don't even more batiques and we did not go to.
00:47:09
There's one more store by florals.
00:47:11
The mercantile.
00:47:12
Yeah, we need to kind of market.
00:47:14
So, but we want to show you guys our bracelets here.
00:47:16
Oh, I don't have any jewelry on, but you can show that.
00:47:19
So this because you know, we are the pearl girls.
00:47:23
Yeah, so Jenny and cherry and misty.
00:47:27
They they had the little chuck ducks because you get to make friendship bracelets, which we are going to do today.
00:47:32
And with the friendship bracelets, you make them and then you trade them with the employees.
00:47:35
Yeah, so they make different ones and they trade them back with you.
00:47:38
But they had the ducks and cherry says, I have pearls.
00:47:42
And one of the others said, well, we have ducks.
00:47:43
So when we got to our Airbnb, they had this made for us and they were there.
00:47:48
It gets to go with my other bracelet that never has anything on this other arm.
00:47:52
It's so great.
00:47:52
It's hanging here.
00:47:53
It was so sweet.
00:47:54
That was such a special treat because we came in and misty had a couple of little presents on the counter for us.
00:48:00
I wish I had our trade.
00:48:00
Oh, the trays that she gave us were so cute.
00:48:02
And then, but inside it had a little card for each of us and on the card and the little bracelets that they made was on it.
00:48:08
I was like, that is just what's and she gave us tons of snacks.
00:48:12
Why haven't we been eating those?
00:48:18
We'll dump them out and we'll share them today.
00:48:20
So then they had food trucks.
00:48:21
And this is what so first of all, you saw someone with the or someone said something about the cheesecake on the stick.
00:48:27
Oh, yeah, I decided that you wanted that.
00:48:29
So I really did.
00:48:30
We kind of walked.
00:48:30
It was delicious.
00:48:31
And they had they had a barbecue truck.
00:48:33
And they have a hot dog truck.
00:48:35
They have barbecue.
00:48:36
They have taco truck.
00:48:38
Yeah, the shaved ice.
00:48:40
Oh my gosh.
00:48:41
The shaved ice.
00:48:42
You had shaved ice.
00:48:42
Really?
00:48:43
Really?
00:48:43
I might get shaved ice today.
00:48:45
It was so good.
00:48:45
I want the banana cream shaved ice.
00:48:47
So they brought in these trucks.
00:48:48
And when I'm getting my shaved ice, I'm talking to the person that's doing this.
00:48:53
And she said.
00:48:53
So I had no idea that this was this big.
00:48:58
And I said, what's that?
00:48:59
I'm thinking, need I'm that big?
00:49:02
And she said this quilting thing.
00:49:05
And I'm thinking you do have no idea.
00:49:07
She said, yeah, they just contact us and said, you know, would you want to come do something for food truck?
00:49:11
And she said, we had no idea that there was this much going on.
00:49:15
And this many people.
00:49:16
And I said, well, this is the first day.
00:49:18
And it is a Wednesday.
00:49:19
So there's probably not as many people a day.
00:49:21
Right.
00:49:21
Right.
00:49:22
Because we didn't have.
00:49:23
Oh, yesterday today.
00:49:24
No, today, it's going to be crazy.
00:49:26
Yeah, today is going to be crazy tomorrow will be crazy.
00:49:29
Saturday will be a little bit crazy too.
00:49:31
So, but it's good.
00:49:33
It's good.
00:49:33
Crazy.
00:49:34
But you don't worry about them being out of murky.
00:49:36
And they just they run down to their warehouse and they restock like before the end of the day, then come back at one o'clock.
00:49:43
And don't they do a one o'clock and a three o'clock.
00:49:46
So they're coming back in for this.
00:49:47
And if you're in one of the shops and you don't see what you're looking for and you know they have it.
00:49:51
You just go to their customer service at the in that shop and they will go handle it.
00:49:55
They will order it and get it turned in and you just go down the main store and pick it up.
00:49:59
And great.
00:50:01
So the main store.
00:50:02
You know, and there's all these different things.
00:50:04
Oh, you spent $75.
00:50:06
Here's a key chain.
00:50:07
Oh, you did this.
00:50:08
Here's that.
00:50:08
Did you get your check the dog?
00:50:10
Do you want this?
00:50:11
And now they're hiding every day.
00:50:14
They hide 100 ducks.
00:50:15
There's one green one.
00:50:17
There's pink.
00:50:18
And then there's yellow.
00:50:19
I think.
00:50:19
Okay.
00:50:20
So the green one is the grand prize winner.
00:50:23
And when we were at the fabric market.
00:50:26
Yeah.
00:50:26
These women that we're talking to us that were unicorn lovers.
00:50:29
Yeah.
00:50:30
Was the winner winner of the.
00:50:31
Oh, that was the unicorn magic.
00:50:34
Why do we talk about unicorns every time we're on the podcast?
00:50:37
You know, we talked about the rockets for a year.
00:50:39
So this is just this year.
00:50:40
You know, you know, you know, how I get.
00:50:42
First it was rockets.
00:50:44
Now it's.
00:50:45
It's unicorns.
00:50:46
Yeah.
00:50:46
Yeah.
00:50:47
It's true.
00:50:48
But in the spirit of Rochelle and her love of unicorns.
00:50:52
Oh, yeah.
00:50:52
I don't like unicorns.
00:50:54
I mean, I don't think that.
00:50:55
I think they're weird.
00:50:56
But I don't care.
00:50:57
I just don't think they're.
00:50:59
They're not real.
00:50:59
And I know you think they are in your minds.
00:51:02
And that's fine.
00:51:03
But what did tell everybody what the kindness I showed you yesterday.
00:51:08
So she did.
00:51:09
So we're sitting there.
00:51:10
And I picked up.
00:51:11
There was only two of these little unicorns.
00:51:13
I said, little unicorn.
00:51:15
And I pick it up a tape measure.
00:51:16
And Leslie says, I need one of those.
00:51:18
And she bought it and handed it to me.
00:51:20
Thank you, friend.
00:51:21
You're welcome.
00:51:22
And it showed in their books that they didn't have any that they were out.
00:51:25
They were out.
00:51:26
And so that it was magic.
00:51:28
Again, it's unicorn magic that got me that unicorn.
00:51:31
Okay.
00:51:32
Or I just or or just me.
00:51:34
No, but that was in the box.
00:51:35
You got it.
00:51:37
You know, I don't like this ganging up things.
00:51:39
I like the carous here.
00:51:41
I need.
00:51:42
I need some support.
00:51:43
I know we're going to come on something else here.
00:51:46
But it just mad because you know what?
00:51:49
Because the unicorn magic is coming around me filling me with full of.
00:51:57
I don't care if they make you happy.
00:51:59
I think that's great.
00:52:00
I just they're just not real.
00:52:02
Okay.
00:52:02
So speaking of tape measures.
00:52:05
They also Missouri star just came out with the check the duck or a little rubber ducky tape measures.
00:52:11
Y'all they are so stinking and they're like five dollars.
00:52:13
They're five bucks.
00:52:14
Five bucks for a duck.
00:52:15
Five bucks.
00:52:17
You got your five.
00:52:18
You got your five buck.
00:52:19
You got your five buck duck.
00:52:21
I bet you might get something.
00:52:25
Okay.
00:52:26
But it's so cute.
00:52:28
It's a little rubber ducky.
00:52:29
And it's a tape measure.
00:52:30
You pull out of its butt.
00:52:31
It's great.
00:52:32
The butt.
00:52:34
I think she doesn't like our potty talk.
00:52:39
I said, but she didn't like it.
00:52:43
This is carrot.
00:52:46
Oh, that's fine.
00:52:47
This is what you guys smell good.
00:52:57
Is that in your bag?
00:52:58
Is this it?
00:52:59
Yeah.
00:52:59
Okay.
00:53:00
I'm taking it.
00:53:01
So this is you guys from what you're seeing here.
00:53:03
This is kind of one of the things.
00:53:03
That are hard for us to have people watch what we do because I don't know if you've noticed I'm in my bag.
00:53:08
I'm trying to see these people are sending things.
00:53:11
I'm taking a beverage and we have popcorn.
00:53:14
We do.
00:53:15
Well, let's say we need to say that.
00:53:17
But we do for our next one.
00:53:18
Our next guest.
00:53:19
If we have a guest in the house that.
00:53:22
Yes.
00:53:23
So we're work.
00:53:24
We're just so you guys.
00:53:25
We're lining up some new interviews.
00:53:27
We're very excited.
00:53:28
We've got a whole list of people who we're going to be chit chatting with.
00:53:32
We're going to be talking to her Janet Wecker fresh.
00:53:37
We're going to do Lisa Alexander season hockey.
00:53:40
We're going to talk to Alan Dohn at some point.
00:53:43
So that'll be a lot of fun.
00:53:45
We've never.
00:53:45
I mean, he is a giant.
00:53:48
The man is six six.
00:53:50
He's funny.
00:53:51
He is like.
00:53:51
And then he's kind of like Paul bunion.
00:53:54
And his wife is extremely tall.
00:53:59
They're tall because we're tall people.
00:54:00
You see her standing next to him.
00:54:02
Yeah, it's not like she's not normal.
00:54:05
Yeah, it's normal.
00:54:06
It doesn't look like.
00:54:07
But if he's standing next to you and he looks like.
00:54:10
Yeah, Paul bunion.
00:54:10
Yeah, for sure.
00:54:11
Yeah, he does.
00:54:12
So we've got some fun things coming up on the podcast.
00:54:15
We're excited about.
00:54:17
And we're.
00:54:18
Oh, my gosh, we're getting we need to talk also about the quilt kits and the culture.
00:54:23
Yeah, okay.
00:54:24
So Rochelle and I sat down over Tuesday night and we've mapped out the schedule for so long.
00:54:31
So I've got it on a PDF.
00:54:33
We'll be getting that out.
00:54:34
I'll put it on my Instagram.
00:54:35
She'll put it on her Instagram.
00:54:37
I'll also posted on Leslie quilts.com.
00:54:40
So if you need to print something out or whatever, you can get it there.
00:54:43
So we are so excited.
00:54:45
We are.
00:54:46
It's gonna be awesome.
00:54:48
And then what's really can be awesome.
00:54:49
What's really crazy with this is because you know, I'm I'm going to be out of town basically all of October.
00:54:54
So I need to finish these and you know, so teach your part in me that what are some of the things the pitfalls that we're going to have whatever is going to happen.
00:55:00
But if you have your kit right now, you guys even though this isn't the time that tells you read your directions first.
00:55:07
Oh my gosh, please really read the directions.
00:55:09
And even if you're a picture person, start it now, you know, if you want to start prepping your fabric now, you can, but you don't have to because we're going to give you the idea of when to do it.
00:55:19
So I will tell you now.
00:55:20
So Christmas is in town.
00:55:22
That's going to be a five week challenge.
00:55:25
So it is not hard.
00:55:27
You're not hard.
00:55:28
And I'll just we'll tell him what it is now and but I'll have a PDF of this so you can print it out and you have access to it.
00:55:34
But week one for Christmas is in town.
00:55:36
That's the beginner quilt.
00:55:37
That's the panel quilt.
00:55:38
Week one is starch.
00:55:40
That's all you have to start your stuff.
00:55:41
And if you don't start you don't have anything you can press you can press it because you can get us you can get it.
00:55:47
Get it.
00:55:48
Press week two.
00:55:49
We're going to start cutting.
00:55:50
We're going to cut all the things that you got to cut.
00:55:51
So that's why we're saying read your patterns now so that you kind of get a feel for what you're supposed to be cutting.
00:55:56
And week three we're going to start assembling the trees and there the trees are in the corners of the world.
00:56:01
There's four of those trees.
00:56:03
And then week four we're going to put the borders together.
00:56:06
And then week five we bring it all together.
00:56:09
So that's that's it in a nutshell.
00:56:11
So we'll get this posted out so that you have access to it.
00:56:14
And on the kid the thing that that I and I was telling Leslie about this you need to look at the picture of the way the borders go because the top border in the bottom border go differently.
00:56:25
And it's got to make two of each of the thing.
00:56:27
I did that and and and I was like wait this one is not going right so actually that would be the one thing that I would say make know that you're making your top border and look at the photo of the order it goes and know that you're doing the bottom border and then your sides.
00:56:40
And it's it goes together pretty quick.
00:56:43
Yep.
00:56:43
And then winter magic is the intermediate quilt that's the other one that's going out.
00:56:47
If you're looking for the Lori Holt one we have it's not shipped to us yet as soon as it does we get that out.
00:56:52
We think it's going to be the next week or so because because it gets to their warehouse and then they have to process it and they send it to us but it's not going to be coming.
00:56:59
It's not going to be a semi truck.
00:57:00
It's going to be UPS.
00:57:01
So same thing with winter magic that this is actually going to be a little bit longer so it's an 11 week challenge so it's going to but you can work as fast as you want or slow as you want.
00:57:13
You don't have to follow this.
00:57:14
This is what we're going to do.
00:57:16
She's already done it so I'm going to try to follow the schedule because it'll help bindings on them which is which is crazy.
00:57:22
So week one is starch so next week is starting week just like the other one week to we're going to split cutting into two weeks because it is a lot of cutting and so the week two is going to be.
00:57:34
We're going to cut the print the printed fabrics all the colored fabrics you're going to cut that first and then week three we're going to cut the white fabric because the white fabric there's five and a half yards of that and so we don't want to overwhelm anybody by saying cut all of this at one time.
00:57:49
Split it up make it a little easier on yourself and then week four they're large stars so we're going to symbol those are four of those week five.
00:57:57
There are eight star blocks that are medium size so we're going to do those in week five week six will do an assembly of the heart blocks and there are eight of those and week seven will start assembling certain sections together so section one and two you'll be able to follow along.
00:58:16
Section three through eight will be week eight and that's just really strip sets those are a bunch of strips super easy you guys super easy so when I say sections three through eight it sounds overwhelming but it's not just sewing like you're going to be doing three strips in in three three times four so 12 strips for number three and they say thing but they're they're their long strips will like I think the smallest thing is a two and a half inch so they're super easy to do yeah and then week nine we're going to assemble the quadrant so we'll be pulling those little stars.
00:58:45
Together and then week 10 will build out our borders because there's some border stuff that you're going to put your tree of them and then week 11 we'll be done so this will kind of give you an idea of how we're going to process it if you want to work ahead.
00:59:01
Go ahead do it you get this is your quilt it's not we're not saying this we're not the quilt police by any stretch in the imagination because Jenny basically said she killed him.
00:59:09
She fired all the police 16 years ago so what we're going to do we're just giving you an idea of how you can process it and if you work ahead great if you want to work slower we don't care.
00:59:20
Who cares if you finish it four years from now we don't care but this is just kind of something to help you organize like a schedule and see how you get it done.
00:59:28
We really looked at it if you are a working person you know like like I'm home all day I'm so all day every day you know even though I have other things going on I really really go with this.
00:59:37
The cutting was the cutting part of it and there was a lot and one of the things that if you are if you have it now you decide you want to cut ahead.
00:59:46
I took and I wrote down on a piece of paper and I used a wonder clip and I put that this is a eight by a six and a half by eight because you think you're going to remember that I don't want to have to re-measure something no and then I put it because it tells you this is going to be PC.
01:00:01
So I put see and I put the size yeah and then I it made it just so much easier because when you're doing the quarter and some of these things you're using like the blues you're using some for some of the stars but then you're doing like the.
01:00:14
The kind of Irish chain which really isn't but you know right that snowflake you think yeah so it just made it so much easier because you know I mean a three in your stuff label a three inch and a three and a half inch.
01:00:25
There's a difference in the size yeah but you might get it think oh this doesn't fit you're going to stretch something or cut something you don't want to do that you want a number of.
01:00:32
Just label your stuff as you cut it and set it aside it comes in that beautiful box so if you've already received your kid you got the box already.
01:00:39
Just keep it all stored in there and organized and you'll be good to go and the other thing on the beginning kit with that one I did not miter any of my borders.
01:00:51
Yeah I did a flat scene with them and also with the scenes because you do have to because you have some length you have like I think there's one that's like maybe forty six and a half inches.
01:01:00
This stuff is only you know forty four inches so you're going to add something and I you would have had enough fabric probably to do a miter with it but I chose not to.
01:01:10
I wouldn't okay but some people some people might or when I do right but when you put it when we put our when we attach ours here that's you know what we're saying here you do a diagonal.
01:01:22
But on the panel you're not there's no miter for the panel but you've got you've got your strips that you're putting you don't like when we put a binding together and we go here and then it flips up and it gives us the diagonal line.
01:01:32
Yeah but you're not on that panel there's corners that it's on the borders but you have you have you're making strips and so you don't have you you don't have enough length to add something.
01:01:42
Right that would not be following the pattern.
01:01:45
It tells you that you have to piece those things together and I don't know I will look at it anyway when you say miter I think a miter in corner or so it's like this.
01:01:55
So on a border is that what you're talking about no I'm talking about no you're not mitering that when we make when we make when we make a binding.
01:02:04
Right we're not but ending our bindings we're doing the diagonal yeah yeah I did not do that diagonal when I put together the border piece of the large six and a half.
01:02:14
Okay I put them together.
01:02:17
Okay yeah because the reason I did it is the flow for it when I when I looked at it is I wanted to make sure that I had a better road the way that it was rotated out.
01:02:28
Uh huh that the cars were here and I didn't want cars in a different way so it just fit better in my mind.
01:02:33
Okay yeah no that that I was I'm following you now because I was like wait you don't have any there's no word of miter anything.
01:02:40
But now I get you what you're saying okay awesome but you guys even if you if you if you want to buy the other kit and you think that you're just a beginner you could do the big star one you honestly could.
01:02:54
It's just take your time it's it's it's and it it's would be not even a super intermediate beginner because everything that you're doing the directions are so good for it's just very big and there's a lot and I think that's what would make a beginner.
01:03:07
Yeah get kind of overwhelmed so I need to wind us down since we talked all things don'ts and what they are and this is their 16th birthday happy birthday birthday star.
01:03:17
The thing I remember best about successful people I've met all through the years is their obvious delight in what they're doing and it seems to have very little to do with worldly success they just love what they're doing and they love it in front of others.
01:03:33
And that's for mr.
01:03:34
Rogers so way to go Jenny and Ron we're all going to miss you dearly absolutely.
01:03:40
We thank you so much for listening and look forward to another one so until next time stay inappropriate.
01:03:54
