Te cuento el comienzo del comienzo.

Cumplí 47 años apenas días después del estadillo de la pandemia. Para una mujer  como yo, el confinamiento con hijas adolescentes y la pareja intensificó la presión por mantener la pseudo identidad "madre y esposa ideal." Fue el caos cotidiano en aislamiento y tramitado a puro PERFECCIONISMO el que me rompió.

 (Atención, el PERFECCIONISMO NO es esforzarse por ser mejor; es más bien un escudo que usamos para protegernos del juicio y la vergüenza).

Fueron largos meses de constante y destructiva autoexigencia. Y de la mano de ese agotamiento emocional propio de la mujer perfeccionista , apareció ella a las patadas  y con su característico vértigo existencial: Bienvenida CRISIS DE LA MEDIANA EDAD

Y ahora qué?

Let me tell you the very beginning. I turned 47 just days after the pandemic outbreak. For a woman like me, confinement with teenage daughters and a husband intensified the pressure to maintain the pseudo-identity of the "ideal mother and wife." The daily chaos in isolation, managed through sheer perfectionism, broke me.

(Keep in mind, perfectionism is not about striving to be better; it's more like a shield we use to protect ourselves from judgment and shame).

It was months and months of relentless, destructive self-pressure. And alongside the emotional exhaustion typical of the perfectionist woman, she came bursting in, with her characteristic existential whirl: Welcome, Midlife Crisis. And now what?
