Description

Traumatic brain injuries come in many forms. Some are accidental. Others are inexplicable. For Joanna Rosa-Saenz, TBI came from years of domestic violence.

Today, divorced from her husband and raising three boys, Joanna is trying to end the cycle of domestic abuse through her nonprofit, Joanna Saenz Enterprises. She brings abuse awareness curriculum directly to Denver-area classrooms, starting with her son's high school.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. If you know a survivor, or anyone else affected by violence, call the national hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE
