Medical advances and enhanced technology generate data at an astonishing rate, challenging ICU physicians to work efficiently to empower clinical decisions and discovery. In this session, we show how we use Tableau to decipher this massive data into actionable knowledge leading to evidence-based decision making with scientific processes and relevant analytics, leveraging the data for research, quality improvement, and care at the bedside. You will hear about specific examples, like our use of daily reports to help ensure that cumulative doses of narcotics remain within standards and limit addiction and dangerous withdrawal, leading to a 30% decrease in exposure to potent narcotics in children.
