Built in the spring of 1872, The Freight House was the first building constructed for the New York Central and Hudson River Railroad branch. This line serviced freight and passengers from Goldens Bridge to Grand Central Terminal for more than fifty years. One hundred years later, I was born into this little hamlet of Carmel with a dream to one day serve my community through food. This incredible building fell upon me like a block of ice kept frozen in saw dust (which is how local milk was transported to NYC) so I hopped aboard. With the support of family, friends and local businesses, my dream became a reality. I welcome you to share in a piece of history, savor a cup of coffee and some homemade food.
