Description

From 1928 to 1932, a gentleman by the name of George Elton Mayo conducted an experiment at the Hawthorne Western Electric plant (in the USA) to determine if increased lighting would result in increased productivity.

As it turned out, they realised it was actually the ‘Hawthorne Effect’ that had caused an increase in productivity, not increased lighting.

In this podcast, George talks about how you can use this effect as a practical improvement strategy to drive process improvement, behaviour change, and generate deeper knowledge of process performance and the variables that affect that.

This podcast is brought to you by:

Soarent Vision Pty Ltd, and George’s 9 Skills Factory professionals education platform.
