Engage your senses while reading (John 6:35 , 2 Corinthians 2:15-16)

Touch objects that correlate to what you are reading

Nail for crucifixion, oil for annointing, drink water for living water.

Taste bread when you read of the “bread of life”

Surround yourself with symbols that point to Scripture. (2 Sam. 22:2-4, Matt. 5:13 )

Read and then do for others (1 John 3:17 , Philippians 2:2-4)

Focus on a single word or attribute of God. (1 Cor. 13, Prov. 3:3, 1 John 4:16 , 1 Peter 4:8) Find all Scripture that shows this.

Research connections that show God’s sovereignty (Genesis 28:10-12, John 14:6)
