Description

A former congressmember Terrence John “TJ” Cox, will serve one year and one day in federal prison, a judge ruled Monday. Cox, a Fresno Democrat who served one term in Congress, pleaded guilty in February to one count of wire fraud and one count of wire fraud affecting a financial institution.

Investigators used powerful tools to obtain mountains of data, but couldn’t decipher some of it until recently. When he was a popular conservative podcaster, Dan Bongino claimed he had uncovered the biggest scandal in FBI history: Bongino learned something far different after becoming the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s No. 2 official this year: Investigators weren’t hiding evidence, they just didn’t realize they had it.
