Description

Welcome to The Peoples Voices! A podcast by the people for the people. We are your hosts, Justice “JamState” McCormack, Michael “Redman” Thomas and Terrence “BigBrotherLove” Bishundayal.

We discuss how Ontario Premiere, Doug Ford made cuts to the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP). A program which helps post-secondary students with the costs of tuition.

The new changes are no more six months interest free grace period, less grants and more loans for low income students, although students might be eligible if their income is under $50,000, but no official statement yet.

As well, students have the option to reduce their tuition by 10 per cent, by opting out of fees which funds school clubs, events and student led governments.

While this may seem like a good idea at first glance, a deeper look into this shows that everything comes with a price. Furthermore, we discuss the effects that all of Ford’s decisions will have on future generations to come.

Grab some food, tune in and listen to the impacting voices of today. Join the discussion.
