Sharing about my #sexualassault by my #narcissistic #bipolar husband. I spent 12 years with him praying for change, "helping" him to change, working on him to change, going to counseling, church, classes, #inpatienttreatment, but ultimately I had to realize my #codependency was not going to fix him, change him, make him right, make him whole, nor heal him.... because it wasn't in him to. We can subject ourselves to so much when we live a life of no #boundaries, & codependency. We can alter our being by staying in #toxicrelationships, living a life making decisions out of fear because we're afraid to leave. What is your "why" How much is it worth to you? We ABSOLUTELY create mini me's of either us as a victim OR EVEN WORSE of the other parent- the #victimizer in our kids by exposing them, and it continues generation after generation, until we learn and grow and work the changes. We are supposed to learn from our mistakes. And when we know better, do better. But sometimes it takes YEARS,... because it can take time for healing and introspection, and sometimes like in my case I was desperately seeking the help and the answers for years and I dont know why no one was giving me the real help I needed. So I'm trying to share these things and be really real, and really honest with you so you can put the scope on your own story, your own life, your own background, your own decisions and cut off the chaff, disconnect from those that waste your time, those that use and abuse you, those that keep your around through force or fear. Those that have "their" best at heart not yours....
