Description

New Season, New Episode! Historically, French Literature was often seen as “immoral” and “corrupting” the minds of young men and women by the Anglophone world. The question is, why?  The very first guest of Season 2 is our dear friend, Dr Melissa Bailar of Rice University. In our conversation “Taboo, Desire, and the Body”, we talk about the erotic, the sexual desires, and politics of power in French Literature. We also discuss the dismantling of normative gender roles, the disruption of traditional discourse on love, and much more! Follow us @teatimewithbela
