Hello and welcome to Take Your Time, a Persona podcast in which hosts Jonathon Dornbush and Tom Marks are playing through Persona 3 Reload week by week along with the in-game calendar. On episode 26 of the Persona 3 Reload playthrough this season, the hosts cover the events of October 6-12, a free week as we deal with the fallout of last week's full moon operation, and prepare for exams!
Jonathon and Tom start off the show with, of course, a rundown of last week's pop quiz, some of your comments and reflections on last week, and our usual top-of-show shenanigans. But as we dive into this week in P3R, we delve into a curious mix of free time moments that are not required to see, but feel anything but optional after you've experienced them.
We tackle the grief the S.E.E.S. gang is dealing with, in particular how those like Ken and Akihiko are handling the aftermath of October 4 in Persona 3 Reload. That includes several poignant walks with Koromaru and friends, a wonderfully touching string of study sessions, and more. Tom and Jonathon take their time to really dig into these sequences (so spoilers if you didn't check them out), and how they fit into the overall character growth and sticking points of the story at this time.
Plus, in a race to study up before the next exams, can Jonathon and Tom reach level six in their Academics social stat? What video game series absolutely derails us mid-show? And what social links do we try to focus on, or avoid, in the week ahead of our P3R October exams? Find out all of that, our next pop quiz, and more, in this week's episode!
Next week's episode will be focused on the days of October 13-19, an exam-heavy week also featuring plenty of your questions and comments.
