Takeaways From Yesterday: When I Caught Myself In The Act Of Being Lazy, & How It Helped Me Begin To Break The Habit
Description
Hey There,
Today's Takeaway From Yesterday is all about me being self-aware and reflecting on my daily habits. I have been re-reading the book by Charles Duhigg called, "The Power Of Habit" and consequently have been reflecting on my habits, particularly those that I want to rid. Then it happened: I caught myself in the act! I was preparing some cookies for my cookie business and I realized that I was talking myself out of working hard. Alas, I recognized that in fact, my train of thought in itself has become a habit. Talk to myself and convince myself that what I have set out to do is too hard/ difficult/ time consuming. The moment I realized that, it was cool. I saw it as a habit and not so much of a negative personality trait, making it much more manageable to overcome. So I wonder, what behavioural or mental habit do you want to tackle, and rid yourself of? And have you caught yourself in the act?
