In major cities across the country, residents have been forced out of their home at alarming rates, even before the pandemic. How do seemingly progressive cities still struggle to provide housing for all, and what are activists doing to help? Building on our previous episode, Hobos in Space, this discussion takes a look at housing and equity in San Francisco. We'll talk to Mime Troupe collective member Marie Cartier about her artistic process and scholar Erin McElroy about their work mapping evictions in the Bay Area and their new book, Counterpoints: A San Francisco Bay Area Atlas.
