Description
Taoist Manimal Podcast Ep. 43 Ari Halbert
In addition to learning the healing art of acupuncture, the original Daoist medical practitioners of East Asia were taught to be well-rounded and learned in many different disciplines including, Qi Gong (internal energy cultivation), Nei Gong (Breathing Meditation), Kong Fu (Chinese Martial arts), Tui Na (medical massage), and often calligraphy or music. This was expected of the them in order for them to have a richer, and deeper understanding of inner workings of the life. Following in this tradition, Ari brings to his medical practice a well-rounded background in the arts, engineering, yoga, meditation, nutrition and bodywork. In addition to receiving his acupuncture degree from the University of Bridgeport, Ari holds a bachelor of music and engineering, has over a decade of experience as a yoga instructor, teaches meditation and breath work, is trained in Tui Na, Thai Massage and therapeutic yoga adjustment techniques, and has completed trainings in Holistic Nutrition and abdominal massage for optimizing digestive health.
Ari has committed his life to seeking out the best of the best in a variety of fields of interests, embodying their wisdom, and though this process, constantly improving himself, refining his skills and techniques, and expanding his breadth of knowledge. In turn, he is able to offer superior care to his patients that is both varied and comprehensive.
