Description
Taylor Kirk is a horticulture service specialist for Fluence Bioengineering, global leader LED horticultural lighting, where he consults cannabis growing partners and collaborates with researchers and other cannabis industry leaders. He has more than twenty years of experience in agriculture, with a diverse background in agronomics and a bachelor’s degree in agronomy from Texas A&M University.
Following the limited legalization of medical cannabis in Texas, Taylor shifted his professional focus to cannabis production, breeding, R&D, cultivation facility design and project management in his roles as vice president of operations and director of cultivation at Texas Original Compassionate Cultivation (TOCC). In these roles, he developed a strong cannabis cultivation program for the company, planted the first legal seeds under Texas’ medical cannabis program and developed a breeding program that produced chemovars for TOCC’s specific product needs.
Taylor is also co-founder of 4K Pharm LLC, a licensed Texas hemp producer, manufacturer and distributor. 4K Pharm is currently growing several cannabinoid-rich CBD and CBG hemp cultivars and producing premium organic hemp flower and other branded products which are sold to wholesale and retail markets. 4K Pharm has a purpose-built facility in Giddings that includes a light deprivation flowering greenhouse with supplemental lighting and an indoor facility for vegetative phase cultivation and post-harvest processing.
