After speaking at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, and being spurned by the DNC in Chicago, Teamsters president Sean O'Brien announces his organization will not be endorsing a candidate in the 2024 race for President. In what should have been a slam dunk for Democrats, this can only be viewed as a big loss for Vice President Kamala Harris.
The Federal Reserve appears to be putting its thumb on the electoral scale by announcing a basis rate cut of 50 points for September. While this may help grow investments and consumer purchases with lower interest rates, it may ratchet up inflation once again to higher levels. Will this be enough to help Kamala Harris in her sprint to November?
