Description

After more than a month of a partial government shutdown, there’s finally movement in Washington.  Lawmakers have reached a bipartisan agreement that would fund the government at its current rate through Jan. 30, and fully fund SNAP benefits through next September. 

While that’s a promising sign for federal workers and programs, travelers are still feeling the frustration at Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

As of Monday morning, there was a significant drop in delays and cancellations from the hundreds of disruptions over the weekend, but still a sign of lingering impacts. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) continues to reduce flight schedules nationwide, cutting up to 10% of flights as air traffic controllers approach their sixth week without pay.
