Texas A&M football, despite an impressive record, dropped to number seven in the College Football Playoff rankings after a loss to Texas. Despite having a stronger schedule and record than some ranked teams, the Aggies are seen as less complete than Texas Tech. If Texas Tech loses and Alabama beats Georgia, Texas A&M could fall to number nine or ten, forcing them to play their first-round game on the road.
