Doug May has been a lifelong hunter and angler from Southern California. Learning from his father, he has hunted and fished throughout California for over 60 years. Even more, Doug has traveled around the world and caught nearly 50 species on the fly. Doug has a story of many would strive for as a life well earned in search for something more. He has a picturesque progression of fly fishing through his life and he's not stopping anytime soon. 

I truly believe there is a wisdom that only time can tell -- the history of California, the progression of the sport and art of fishing and hunting, but also what is important in life. Doug has it all. I was so inspired by Doug's respectful approach and excitement as an outdoorsman. He lives a life full of imagination, drive, and wisdom that both gives reverence to a rich history of fly fishing, and also inspiration for the future of these activities.
