Wayne Russell was a participant on season 1 of the Alone show and is now a full time wilderness/survival skills instructor. Wayne grew up, and subsequently has spent his whole life, living and playing in the woods. More than a weekend warrior, this is Wayne's life. In this episode we spend a lot of time talking about practical survival and how to be prepared physically, mentally, and emotionally for when things don't go your way in the wilderness. Wayne shares his insights and knowledge not only as an instructor and person who has spent a lifetime outside, but also as a former Search and Rescue volunteer. You also get to hear a few first hand stories from myself when things didn't quite go my way on outdoor adventures.
