The Astrology of Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark
Description
In episode 125 astrologers Kristina Martin and Tara Redfield try on a different type of relationship and cover the rivalry between former college players and now WNBA stars Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark.
First, we jump into Angel’s chart and are stunned by a pronounced Gemini stellium. With her "Bayou Barbie" nickname and ability to play all five positions on the court, this chart shows multifaceted interests and a great variety of expressions. With an opposition from transformation Pluto in Sagittarius, there can be a theme of mental power struggles and hard lessons in deciphering truth from fiction. In total contrast, we see a soft and sensitive Pisces Moon which shows us her charitable and giving spirit.
In Caitlin’s chart we also find a pronounced Stellium in the air element, but this time in rebellious Aquarius. Starting basketball at age five on the boys’ team, this chart shows unique and progressive ways of being. With a strong Sun/Venus/Neptune conjunction, there is a lovable and gracious side to her but one that can also get confused and deal with projections in relationships and identity. We also see a competitive, fighting warrior with an Aries Mars sextile to the Sun.
Together, it's almost hard to find where the rivalry lies, because the two super athletes share so many chart similarities! A Sun/Moon conjunction reveals a sense of familiarity and feeling seen by one another. While a Moon sextile Moon feels even more emotionally safe and supportive. We do encounter a restrictive Saturn conjunction to one of the stelliums, telling us one person brings about heavy and burdensome feelings while a Pluto square to another's Moon talks about the need to dominate and deeply change the other. Is this a real rivalry as intense as the media portrays? Listen to hear what Venus (and Mars) score they get!
