The United States has been said to be a nation made by war and Texas, as a part of that nation, has been the scene of much warfare and its people have been significant participants in that violent history. The Battle of San Jacinto was a step towards much of it. Be forewarned that it contains graphic details of the aftermath of battle and violence.
