The Beatles Now & Then - John's I's
Update: 2010-05-20
Description
In this episode we will hear 12 John Lennon songs that are his 'I' songs. Not the eyes that John used to give us his unique view of the world around him, but his I's as in 'I Feel Fine', 'I Am The Walrus' & 'I Should Have Known Better'.
Amazingly enough, 8 of these 12 songs were written and recorded in 1964 with the last 4 songs being recorded 1 per year from 1966 to 1969.
John was a very personal and introspective song writer and listening to these songs gives us insight into what was going on in his head (and life) more than in his interviews.
Here's the lineup:
1. If I Fell
2. I Should Have Known Better
3. I Call Your Name
4. I'll Be Back
5. I'll Cry Instead
6. I'm A Loser
7. I Don't Want To Spoil The Party
8. I Feel Fine
9. I'm Only Sleeping
10. I Am The Walrus
11. I'm So Tired
12. I Want You (She's So Heavy)
