Residents at Highland Springs volunteer at the Book Nook network of mini libraries, managed by a steering committee led by retiree Katherine Young. With over 4,900 items available through an online catalog, the Book Nook relies on donations and the dedication of more than 70 volunteers to keep shelves stocked and books circulating between the four locations.
