"Burning down homes and businesses are only the ones that ARENT OURS." EXACTLY. So, Marc justifies this violence because he secretly condones the true nature of BLM - racism.

thanks Marc for being willing to discuss instead of shout. I tried to follow the logic without bias and this is what confused me. if I heard right... the BLM movement is not about all black lives; its specifically about police brutality. later the BLM movement is about all black lives. SAT scores are racist. so the solution is to discriminate based on race to end racism in the tests. black-only dorms are not racist because they do not exclude whites. the term black-only means....?? the words" man "or" woman "are a social construct; also the words "mug "or" book " are a social construct. so all language is a social construct and now that frees me to change the original meaning of any word I choose and hide behind that term?? this man is teaching people???

Finally a civil discussion from a liberal. He did not call names, he didn't scream. I get so tired of the hate I see. While I am conservative, Mark made great points and did a far better job than any liberal I have ever heard. The respect from both sides was refreshing. Thank you

To Ms. Owen's, the name of the young frail asthmatic black man, and also injected with some drug(Kenamine) by paramedics for what I don't know. He was walking home wearing a mask as we all do...he loved to play the violin, and he had special needs, he is one more added to a list of dead black, brown men and women. Let's say his name Ms. Owens... Elijah McClain!!

I would also like to address the BLM movement, how do you think BLM came into being? Well, for starters, (I will try and spell the names correctly), Tameer Rice, 12 years old, Eric Garner, Ahmad Arbery, Rayshard Brooks, Laquan McDonald, Sandra Bland, John Crawford, Stephon Clark, George Floyd. I stopped counting 5 years ago at 123 deaths of unarmed black people at hands of armed police (mostly white). The Black community HAD to respond, something had to be done or the 123 deaths would turn into 246 deaths, and to this day we're still being killed by the police, a frail asthmatic, under weight, violin playing non-aggressive black named Elijah (can't remember his last name) was recently killed walking home from the store by police. This is the reason Black Lives Matter was instituted. If you Candice, can come up with a better idea, I would think twice about insulting a movement that is for the preservation of INNOCENT Black lives.

Ms. Owen's and your following, I hear your point about the Black community covering up or dismissing black on black murder in the streets. In the Black community the residents are threatened with retaliation by these very same gang members about our black children dying in the streets. Now, the answer to this community problem has been the F.O.I., they comb black communities seeking gang members and drug dealers and taking care of the problem. How they do it, I don't know, but, Gang members in my community along with street corner standing drug dealers have disappeared never returning. So , Ms. Owens you must visit the Black community and speak to the people about the F.O.I., you will see and hear the difference, far from your conservative thinking. Now, a killing is a killing, or nicely put Homicide; is still a killing by another human being, the law will not excuse murder just because a cop was on the job for one day; if a cop is not sure of what do to on the job then, he or she

I like Marc.... I honestly do. He can disagree without being rude and unkind. He is however, desperately, strugglingly wrong... bright, smart, educated, and intelligent( only one of which he's responsible for )... but very, very wrong

This guy lost all credibility when he stated that SATs are not an accurate predictor of college success. Is that why all of the top students have the best SAT scores? He has a lot of courage facing Candace though.
