The City of New Orleans, Verizon, United Way of Southeast Louisiana, and climate-tech company Hyfi have partnered to launch a flood sensor initiative that uses Verizon’s 5G network to deliver real-time information about street flooding. The goal is to give both emergency managers and residents faster, more accurate data to prepare for and respond to severe weather.
